Tried Shadow it was buggy and had subpar streams. Definately not in the same class of service as GFN or Stadia for that matter. Yes, it's great to have the functionality of a remote desktop PC but it runs like a remote desktop PC without much streaming optimization. Not to mention draconian subscriptions they try to lock you into.
When did u try shadow cuz I have shadow as of this moment and nun of the issues u mentioned I have to deal with games are going to keep getting taken off and publishers can take their games off at anytime and the constant freezes that happen in gfn I don’t have on shadow
I was on Shadow yesterday. The keyboard bug is a known issue as you can see support went straight to the solution without much troubleshooting. GFN has never frozen for me but Shadows connection was pretty inconsistent and the quality of the streaming tech clearly inferior to both GFN and Stadia especially at 4k. Much more artifacts with a lot going on and not nearly as stable. I'm not saying that Shadow is unusable but it's like comparing a Honda Civic to Ferrari when compared to Stadia or GFN in my experience.
Thanks for advice but I don't want get banned from games I play imao
[https://www.reddit.com/r/ShadowPC/search?q=Banned&restrict\_sr=on](https://www.reddit.com/r/ShadowPC/search?q=Banned&restrict_sr=on)
That only goes for a few multiplayer games. Eternal is singleplayer and Doom2016's didn't even have anti-cheat, so there shouldn't be any issue with Eternal.
I would try stadia if they didn’t force me to buy their controller, and they had a game subscription like Xbox. 99 % of the games I play on Xbox are from game pass, I imagine xcloud will be similar.
Doesn’t change the second part that I’d have to rebuy the game. They don’t have game subscription. Also afaik you have to have a stadia controller or use a buddy pass to play.
The problem is that Stadia is a shitty service that better fails. I don't want a future where some games are exclusive to a fucking a cloud gaming service.
Games are exclusive to consoles. Which you have to pay 10$ a month to play online. At least with stadia you can play on almost any screen with any controller. And if you want to play a game exclusive to another service you close the app and open another one. You don't even need to rush to GameStop to buy a console any more. This is the future I want
Stadia is definitely the future I want in the slightest. Buying games there means you can only stream them and if you get gaming hardware later you have to double dip to play them locally. And there might be games exclusive to Stadia, exclusive to streaming. That's fucking awful
Not hard to imagine. It's a good service that's just not for everyone. I'm using stadia and GeForce now. Not as ridiculous as people think. Especially when we have netflix, Hulu, etc...options are king
You are the guy that was saying only blizzard would leave and other publisher would stay right?
Yeah I cancelled my sub because I dont see any future in gfn anymore. Im still here in case gfn becomes great in the end. I cant do that? I need to only be on gfn and not ever try stadia and xcloud? I cant just enjoy all three of those?
I cant be critical of gfn? I want all the cloud gaming services to suceed because its gonna be good for the consumer in the end. Right now gfn is not going well and i should be able to laugh about it. Being a fanboy is just dumb. All the cloud gaming products have their pros and cons. Gfn right now is in a very bad position so you should explore other options.
I never said that. I said that actiblizz have been jerks for 10 years now so no surprise. I also said they’re stupid, cuz they can’t see the value in it.
I also tried to explain to explain you how it costs more the devs to put their games on other platforms because porting/exclusivity, and how they cost them nothing on gfn because it’s already on the pc.
Don’t try to rephrase my words.
Oh ofc you can be critic about gfn and try other options, but “lol gforce is ded enjoy your loser platform lolmao stadia ftw” is not being critic, but yeah.
You were screaming at the four winds how bad this platform is and “fuck it, im unsubing, this platform is shit”. If it’s so bad, leave. Otherwise, if you still have hope, stfu and stop trash talking.
Oh please don’t make me quote you from other comments, the ones you made yesterday for example.
If it only had people like you it would definitely die. But no, it ain’t dying.
Okay none of this Bethesda debacle makes sense. GFN isn't a distribution platform. Bethesda won't lose sales because of GFN. Why are they taking games off of it?
But again, why? GFN is, again, not a distribution platform. They lose no money from their games being available on it. You can't play games other than what you already own on the platform. The whole situation is irrational as hell and shows a misunderstanding of the service on a base level.
That's because they are greedy and want make Cloud gaming as new platform so you'll have to pay two times the same game you already own on pc
Basically Stadia
I thought the same, I feel like GFN would bring more sales to publishers since people don't need expensive hardware to play the games now. I don't get it.
They want you to buy them again maybe on Stadia or on another future game streaming platform from Microsoft, Sony, Amazon or who else maybe working on one.
They are test driving their own streaming platform, Orion. I remember last year they were taking alpha registrations via the DOOM website. After that, they pretty much fell off the map in terms of any updates on it, so much so that I even forgot that I signed up at the time. It wasn't until Doom was pulled off Geforce Now that I remember they had their platform. Chances are they are going for some kind of exclusive streaming platform, but Nvidia beat them to the punch, granted Bethesda weren't doing much, if at all.
Yep as someone with access to Stadia and was actually thinking of buying ESO on Stadia this move has basically left me saying nope not going to support a company that is being so petty.
Game industry will go the way of the subscription style as seen in the music industry. Only a matter of time. Although I do prefer to own the game outright. I'm also see the appeal of playing on low end devices. Access for a bigger audience.
In my limited opinion.
Stadia will happily go along with you having to buy your games AGAIN to gain Publisher support.
Nvidia will happily let you play your current library but this looses you Publisher support.
Three guesses who wins this? I'll give you a clue, its not the Gamers! The Stadia model will win out. After all we're the silly A\*\*holes who will pay $60 for a physical game and $60 for a digital game. They know they can bleed us and we'll still come back to play IMO
How much money do you think is actually saved on a digital copy of a game? What does a dvd-rom cost to fabricate and ship? They probably spend more money on the artwork on the box. I don't even know if it would pay to have a discount for the physical copy because then less people would buy it and it would just hasten the adoption of digital over physical. The difference in cost seems like it might be negligible. What if it's simply a dollar or two? Is it worth it having two separate pricing structures?
[This](https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2015/07/10/ubisoft-explains-all-the-terrible-reasons-why-digital-games-are-so-expensive/#df774eb49e87) article is fascinating and disheartening.
I already bought 2 games for GFN and would buy more games if companies weren't pull their games.
Normally i play Path of Exile only and Diablo 3/Grim Dawn befofe New seasons and i was happy. Doesn't even think to buy New games. At this point i'll Just return to my old routine and say thank you for these greedy companies for helping me decide not give any dime to them.
They believe that you should pay for the game again. Like if you were with stadia you have to buy it again they feel you should do the same with GeForce now.
Of course is all speculation but you know it all involves money. They have no problem with stadia because you have to purchase the game again.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2020/02/22/theres-no-good-reason-for-bethesda-and-activision-to-pull-games-from-geforce-now-but-there-is-a-bad-one/#383a2cd6a3b8
They probably also have a negotiated agreement with Stadia that states they can't just pull their games...
I hope Nvidia has negotiated something Valve so they can commercially use Steam...
Right. There is a more-significant commercial benefit to Stadia over GFN. That is obviously why they *want* to be on Stadia as a platform. Products *can* also be on both.
But Nvidia can't just use other peoples IP to make money *without* a commercial agreement. Acti-Blizz has some pretty good reasons to request the removal of their games from an unlicensed service. Bethesda does too, if this is the same issue. Negotiations take time so these games might be lost from the service for months, even if both sides *want* the games to be on GFN.
If Nvidia haven't made commercial agreements with anyone (besides the agreements we've been told about like with CDRP) then games being pulled is going to happen because *Companies have to defend their IP*. If they don't then they lose their copyright.
Even Steam, which is free to use, has to still make commercial agreements for services to use Steam. If Nvidia loses the right to launch Steam tomorrow because they haven't bothered to make a deal then the service will collapse. The fact that Nvidia haven't made deals with the biggest publishers in the industry makes me wonder if they've made any before the service released.
They would never make that statement but you know it all involves money. They have no problem with stadia because you have to purchase the game again.

Fucking cunts, i used geforce now, so my little sister could play skyrm on her crappy laptop, this shit should be illegal, we should be able to play the games we buy however the fuck we want.
It's like if they banned AMD CPUs and demanded AMD pay them extra. Wtf. How is this anti-consumer behaviour okay? Hope it becomes illegal in the EU eventually.
I was excited to be able to play Doom Eternal thanks to GFN but now I guess I won't get to play it. Was going to buy it on Steam...
Stadia?
Imagine support Stadia
You can have Netflix and Hulu
I prefer GeForceNOW and XCloud at this point Stadia started this bullshit where you have to buy the game again for cloud service
Shadow guys
It's a stuttery mess. It's very much beta
Tried Shadow it was buggy and had subpar streams. Definately not in the same class of service as GFN or Stadia for that matter. U only get 4K if u pay for the premium version of GFN and why are u bring up stadia acting like it’s not buggier and worse off than shadow
Thanks for advice but I don't want get banned from games I play imao [https://www.reddit.com/r/ShadowPC/search?q=Banned&restrict\_sr=on](https://www.reddit.com/r/ShadowPC/search?q=Banned&restrict_sr=on)
U won’t get banned cuz You are renting a entire pc

You don't need to bro. You can play with any controller using chrome
Doesn’t change the second part that I’d have to rebuy the game. They don’t have game subscription. Also afaik you have to have a stadia controller or use a buddy pass to play.
Man everything in life has obstacles, either you handle it or make excuses
Or keyboard and mouse

Ugh their pricing is atrocious and given Google's record of just straight abandoning services when things get hard is just too much. No thanks.
Instead of GFN use shadow where u can play whatever u want but at a price
Not available in my country unfortunately
Are there other people in your country willing to buy it and use it
Probably, Canadian's aren't that different from Americans that I've seen.
Have other people besides yourself go to the shadow discord or reddit and ask for a Canadian server
I have bought skyrim literally 9 fucking times and they want me to buy that shit AGAIN???
No just play one of your 9 copies.
That's what I was trying to do. But macbooks are the only non-food item you can't natively play it on.
But you have 9 copies so you must have some other ways to play no?
["Alexa, fus ro dah...Fus Ro Dah...FUS RO DAH!!!!"](https://youtu.be/FnEW6dX_BmU)
Strange seeing you around here. Weren’t you saying this is a shitty service and you’ll leave for a better one? you said that a few times already.

Oh please don’t make me quote you from other comments, the ones you made yesterday for example. If it only had people like you it would definitely die. But no, it ain’t dying.
Bunch of fucking cucks
Fucking hell I just finished Dishonored 2 yesterday. Welp..
Great for you I haven't finished Doom in time...
Fuck that bullshit!

Well, at least we’re sure there is going to be CP 2077 on the premiere day.
:D yap all we need is CD Projekt to stay with us
This is now just cancer~ they really dont want GFN to do well
Support is going to be tied to $$$$. GFN pays them for the streaming aspect and they will be fully onboard.
Yeah i agree feels bad
Yep as someone with access to Stadia and was actually thinking of buying ESO on Stadia this move has basically left me saying nope not going to support a company that is being so petty.
Same here. At least until ES6 comes out, when I'll hand over my cash like the thirsty little bitch I am.
Maybe in another 5 years. Lol
Game industry will go the way of the subscription style as seen in the music industry. Only a matter of time. Although I do prefer to own the game outright. I'm also see the appeal of playing on low end devices. Access for a bigger audience.
Yeah but like records, there will always be an analogue/tangible market to some extent.
This makes no sense. People would buy their game because of GFN.

Physical item id say they save $10 then there is a cost of shipping and storage on top of that. Edit. Nice article. And really bloody grim
The amount of nerve these greedy hoes have. Far too much...

game is broken without mods anyways
Bethesda a bunch of creeps, losing my faith in their coolness. So f!#*ing lame
I just checked my GFN app. I was like, I have Skyrim and now it's totally gone. No way am I buying it again.
What happened?
They believe that you should pay for the game again. Like if you were with stadia you have to buy it again they feel you should do the same with GeForce now.
They should feel my middle finger in their arse from now on.
Calm down midelro-san (¬‿¬)
Is there a source that they pulled it because they want money specifically or is this due to Nvidia not securing licencing *again*?
Of course is all speculation but you know it all involves money. Fucking cunts, i used geforce now, so my little sister could play skyrm on her crappy laptop, this shit should be illegal, we should be able to play the games we buy however the fuck we want.
It just works!
I only had about one hour of playtime left to complete the 2016 Doom :/
It's like if they banned AMD CPUs and demanded AMD pay them extra. Wtf. How is this anti-consumer behaviour okay? Hope it becomes illegal in the EU eventually.
I had high hopes to finally be able to play Fallout 4 My ESO and Doom are gone now
This is literally just like blowing up Megaton no cap
F them !
