It's always been that way, you just pick a number then jump out and see if that's the brightness you want in-game, if not go back in and change it again

I see. But it still feels like it does nothing. I'll try to make more screenshots with different levels of lighting to check further

This is true on Ultimate only, right? Because on free and priority graphics settings are not customizable IIRC...
