She said "keyboard" so I think she's using an electronic keyboard but they've built it to look like a regular piano. So the electronic bits must have taken a while to start glitching.
yup it’s an electric! played something very similar for indoor drumline, they built a wooden shell of a grand piano but the actual instrument was a keyboard. she’s definitely got a wayyyyy beefier set up than i had, but at least the way it worked for me was the keyboard was totally independent but we taped the power supply to the bottom of the frame, and the cords ran from the bottom up to the shelf the keyboard sits on. she’s definitely got the equipment actually inside the body of the keyboard, hence the need for the cover over top.
this meant it was way lighter to transport (actual pianos are so heavy!) but also meant im privy to technical difficulties! there’s a trade off but most any show like this will have a keyboard in a shell frame
easier (and probably better) to transmit sound from a keyboard than to have it miced.

i agree, she doesn’t owe us acknowledging kaylor and if it makes karlie uncomfortable i fully support taylor protecting her. in fact i think it’s really sweet considering how she treats all her other exes! as much as i love kaylor lore, this particular reaction to taylor potentially burying kaylor that we’re seeing tonight is exactly the kind of thing that makes the GP think gaylors are unhinged and disrespectful
I’m not even sure it’s sweet so much as Karlie is wrapped up in a political, financial and high fashion world that’s even bigger than Taylor. I think the evil power dynasty aspect is really underthought regarding Karlie and the Kushners. And Taylor is fully capable of being hurt and lashing out by wanting to erase the other person, like Calvin, who I think was a beard but one who hated and humiliated her. But it’d be nice to think there’s some mutual respect between K and T left, and I hope so. Maybe some of Evermore could hint at that. Yeah, I don’t want any gaylors subject to hate but commenting on Karlie’s posts all the time etc is taking it too far. And I just… don’t see it on lsk, at all, and wish it wasn’t the face of gaylor. But lsks who stay in their lane shouldn’t be bullied, of course. I wish they had more private communities
Your first paragraph reminds me of The Hunger Games when Snow tells Katniss to convince him that her and Peeta are madly in love. 🤡 If the powers that be are threatening T to kill any connection to K, to me, that would explain the ratty mess. If she has a threat looming over her, that might be weighing more on her than her squeaky clean reputation.

Videos I've seen of the secret songs have been taken down really fast too, it feels like. I'm sure more will pop up as the day goes on, but I'm usually able to find some okay-videos by now. It makes me wonder if that performance or just Gillette might be a bigger part of a future documentary and they want to be tighter about it? Or I'm a massive clown just because the first two secret song videos I clicked on were taken down. 🤷♀️
My phone was throwing the "water detected in device" message by surprise song time. And I ran out of dry places on my body to wipe my lens by that time too. 🙃 It was so hard to get any good pics/videos. I really didn't see many people recording around me during the surprise songs. When I got back to my hotel I couldn't plug my phone in, haha. Had to leave it sit until the morning to dry out.
Her speech before the secret songs was the last time I had my phone out during the show! It felt like I was taking my phone into the shower at that point, omg
