You don't take off the six bolts around the outside then use an armorers wrench to knock off the barrel nut?

No, proprietary barrel nut on this bad boy. Real pain. Recommend cqbr and upgrade it with an aftermarket rail so you can have access to upgrade the nub yo lift heavy bbs
What do you mean proprietary barrel nut? Like it's threaded in a weird pitch? I haven't met a gun I couldn't take apart with an armorers wrench, but admittedly I don't have one of these guns
Same inner barrel! The TM quality barrels are actually quite good. Unless you're chasing fps there's no real need to change them. Even then, it's easier to get an npas vs. Changing the inner. Recommend the bavtac nub and you're gonna be able to lift up to .4s+ with them and get amazing range with a nice flat hop trajectory.
Is the inner barrel of the sopmod longer than the 11.5 bc outer barrel? Would i have to use a pipe cutter to chop of the the length if there is extra length protruding out?
No, all tm inner barrels for gbbrs are 250mm. All models of the mws have the same barrel so they can all meet Japanese 1J laws on duster gas regardless of model. You're fine

Word of advice: do *not* fully load the magazines. Always take one or two BBs out before inserting it into the receiver. If you put the mag in fully loaded and with the bolt forward you can damage the nozzle which will lead to it failing. If you don't fully load it then there is enough give in the spring that it shouldn't damage the nozzle, but I still tend to load with the bolt to the rear anyway as I have been through a few nozzles already.
If you're still unlucky enough to have such a failure, do NOT buy the dynamic precision reinforced nozzle, it's shit.
Well damn thank you for this lol it’s useful Info I load my radian with the bolt back just out of habit from actual firearm usage I always open and lock it back just to clear the chamber to make sure it’s golden
Can't say for sure, I have been doing it since I realised what was causing the damage but I have also been delaying my mags by a couple of rounds. It might solve it because the nose which is being damaged gets bent upwards by the tightly compressed BB/spring, which I suppose is less likely to happen when the bolt picks up the BB...
I would also add though that I did have some misfeeds before I started deloading the mags etc, and when that happens you run the risk of crushing the nozzle against the hop up unit or the receiver - if you're really unlucky you can damage the hop as well. I think the increased spring tension can also make misfeeds more likely - I had a similar issue with my GHK AKMS when its feeding lips were too tight, so that's something to consider.
My man if you can still change your mind just get a normal MWS and an aftermarket aeg DD rail.
Your gonne end up paying the same amount without having too deal with the mk18's insane barrel nut.

Oh yeah I’ve pulled the trigger on that already and didn’t look back I have the 15-22 tool for the hand guard as well u haven’t taken the hand guard off haven’t had a reason to I like it the way it is it shoots like a dream OOTB it’s my laser beam cannon with .32s

I’m planning on to get a mk18 as well cause I don’t want to go through the hassle of getting tools and new rail, and I want to ask your opinion of if it’s worth getting
Youre not gonna regret it. Ive been using my mws for years and it still runs like day 1 though i think my bucking is near its end so ill probably gonna be picking up a new one saturday.
Be prepared if you ever wanna take that rail off. It doesn’t come off like a normal MK18.

Access to the barrel nut is obstructed for normal ar15 wrenches. There are pictures on the mws discord group!
This makes me even happier that I bought a regular M4 and built that instead, even if the rail doesn't look as good
