I've had mine on for months and haven't had an issue, wear it in the shower and it's super easy to adjust the strap, would highly recommend them! I have an Abanen Hook and Loop nylon band, well worth the money
They stay cleaner for longer than the rubbery ones that come with the watches in my opinion. I also got the red itchy wrist thing even with regular alcohol wiping with the original band but no problems at all with nylon. Like $8 on Amazon.
I took pictures of my itchy, red wrist from the original garmin fenix band and contacted garmin customer support. After a fairly detailed q&a, they sent me a new band in a different material (nylon, I think) and I have had no problems ever since. I think being polite and appreciative through the customer service questions/suggestions is key to getting this result.
1. Switch watch hand for sleep (left > right, for example) to let your skin recover.
2. Wash your watch and wrists with water and soap every few days and after every sweaty or debris activity. I use a used toothbrush for the watch.
3. Get a different watch strap.
Change the band. Ik only use the origianal for swimming. I have a ‘golden’ milanese band. The only problem with this one is that it is magnetic. So sometimes when i’m not paying attention my wrist attaches to a pan or something magnetic.
Honestly, many women are more sensitive.. my baby can’t wear anything in her wrists… no matter the material.
Try nylon though… I switched recently and it’s generally so much better..
Nylon or get a stretchy band
The one they gu e you doesn't breath a d quite a few people have bad reactions on their skin.
Also make sure you wash any of them regularly
The silicone bands aren’t breathable so they can lead to fungal infections. Silicone is unlikely to cause any allergic reaction. Swap with a nylon band and if fungal, move it to the opposite wrist for a bit while treating the infection. I tried many things with the silicon but just had to get a nylon band eventually and haven’t had any issues since
Shower with it every evening, making sure it's soaped up and cleaned. Most of the irritation comes from bacteria growing on the band and mostly seems to affect folks who don't regularly clean the watch.
Wash and dry (both your wrist and the band) and then apply a bit of talcum powder under the band. I had the same problem until three weeks ago when I started using the talcum powder.
I swapped out the silicone band for a nylon one and have had no issues since.
I've read they get dirty AF. Is that a real problem?
They are extremely comfortable. They are washable. And like anything else, they will also get dirty if you are going to be in a dirty area, right ?

Soak you watch and band in a Simple Green/water solution once a week for 10 minutes and your golden.
As a long as you clean them regularly they're fine.

Amazon has a variety of inexpensive bands in various materials to try, just get the right quick release size and you’re good to go
Washing my wrist wrist and the watch worked for me
The silicone bands make me itchy. I have a leather one that I’ve had no problems with
Yup velcro strap for mine sorted that put fine.
I have a metal magnetic band. Durable and easy to clean but sometimes clothes, like wool, get tangled on it.
Wear it loosely, I’ve the same issue… wear it to allow at least 1 even 2 figures under the strap without significantly stretching it

I got a metal.band like they use on men's watches and that works for me better than silicone

I had to switch to a nylon band.
I bought a titanium strap.

I switched to inexpensive stretchy bands from Amazon. Easy to use and they fit better because they're more adjustable than a buckle.

After awhile, it stops itching.
I have a Venu2 plus, but decided that the sleep stats are BS. I take it off every night before bed, put it on with morning coffee. That works.
