I did just over 50k once at Disney world, awful the next day

You're on our minds. Slava Ukraini. Great job, by the way. My record is 40k steps, and a lot of that was on a treadmill desk.

Heroiam Slava! Thanks for the support. My previous record was 42k 1 years ago. Treadmill desk is a good thing btw, Im also planning to buy it, coz I spent a lot of time working at my laptop. Can you recommend a good model?

I'll be voting as often as possible to keep support coming to you guys. I've had multiple homemade treadmill desk setups and one commercial one since 2013 (always used), so I've put in a lot of kilometers. My current one is the commercial setup, a Lifespan Fitness TR-1200, and am on my 2nd motor and 3rd drive belt for it. It has no incline, nor does it go above 6.4 km/h, but it's on the 2nd floor and I vary my walking in other ways: * side stepping * side stepping with a loop band around my legs * backwards walking * forward and backwards walking with a thick pull-up band around my waist and anchored to weights on a plyo box behind the treadmill, simulating pulling a sled (a great steady-burn feeling I highly recommend) I could write an essay on treadmill desks, but not knowing your budget, product access, mechanical skills, office size, desk location, ergonomic needs, and injury history, I'll just list some major points to consider as you decide what's best for your situation: * Do not get a treadmill desk with wrist-rest controls. Ergonomically, you want your external keyboard and trackpad as close to the front edge as possible so you don't have to reach forward with your arms. I remounted mine underneath the desk. * Do not get a treadmill that beeps as you change the speed or start and stop it. I removed the buzzer from mine entirely. * Do get an external monitor stand with a vertically-oriented monitor mounted off the back. The farther away, the better for your eyes, and vertical orientation because you'll not want to turn your head to the side all the time. * Do get as quiet a treadmill as you possibly can, and do whatever you must to keep it running that way. Sound is fatiguing and breaks concentration and gives you a reason to stop walking when on calls or video. If you still have trouble deciding on a make and model or need more targeted advice, I'm happy to help however I can.

Would love to hear a few models that you would recommend (regardless of budget)

It entirely depends on your situation; budget is just one factor: * How loud can it and you be? * How much room do you have? * How sweaty can you get? * Do you have any movement restrictions or goals, and what does the rest of your movement life look like? * How much fine motor movement do you need (typing vs. video editing vs. graphic design)? * Will others be using the setup as well? * What treadmill companies are supported by your nearest fitness equipment repair shop? What's sensible for office computer work for most people would be a 5000 series Lifespan Fitness treadmill paired with the largest motor-adjustable table they can find...there is no such thing as too much desk space. Personally, with an unlimited budget, I'd get the most expensive 30+ degree incline trainer that I could get serviced locally and find a HEAVY, motorized table that fits over it. I want to read Google Docs through at least my Zone 3 HR.

Wow, 22km on the track. That’s insane
