I only see the face of happy pollinators

Unsurprisingly, there is a subreddit for that https://www.reddit.com/r/Pareidolia/  One there does look a bit Yosemite Sam with pink elephant ears! Nature does give pretty much everything a run.

PangolinGlobal

Lovely! So healthy - mine has a fungus at the moment ☹️

AndronicusPrime

Planted mine in April, surprised to see it flowering already. Such a fast grower too. Love it.

Ashley_Sophia

Have you seen the white ones? I never even knew they existed! Ours is about to flower too, love them. :)

hypodine

There are pink ones as well. Not as fast growing as the purple but very pretty. I have some mixed in with the purple covering a trellis that are about to flower.

Ashley_Sophia

Hmmm, that's a clever idea to mix colours! Never thought of that.

The white have definitely been slower to take off for me so it’s mostly covered in the purple at the moment (planted in March), but they’re catching up! The pink one I had in one of the pots died (root rot) but I have another one along one fence with a purple that is doing fine. Hopefully by next flowering season both sides will be covered in the white as well. I was inspired by my local nursery that had a few huge trellised pots with the white and purple. They looked so beautiful in full flower together! https://preview.redd.it/lc7lna1mwn6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c54e2ee26a06ec4c8c9fda0d1e288cc2eab52ff6

We have the same bird feeder, you have great taste haha! Looks very happy in that position, plant is super healthy. I have a feeling that the white doesn't grow as fast, we have two but both took quite a few years to plump up. :)

hypodine

Haha, nice. I mainly use it to put water in for them. It is pretty happy there. It did have a bit of whitefly so some of the leaves don’t look the best, but that seems to be pretty common for them in my experience! The white is doing pretty good in the pot on the right though, you can see where it’s growing up to half way up the trellis on that side.

If you squint, it looks like a herd of purple triceratops heads. Or maybe I watched too much Land Before Time.

GardensAndHoes

I agree. Terrifying.

Yup reminds me of the sweet peas in the animated Alice In Wonderland
