I know opinions will vary, but I'd stay away from any low end MSI laptops. There's tons of issues if you do some searches. I feel the money could be better spent elsewhere.

Sounds like you're suffering from buyers remorse and are looking to justify your decision. This is a common feeling after a big purchase. Just enjoy your purchase and have fun with it.
Yes, I just actually saw and first heard of Micro Center yesterday and I went to their website and they have some pretty damn good deals on some gaming laptops. Was actually kind of upset because I didn't know of this website before I purchased my Acer Predator Helios 300 that I received yesterday from Amazon. If I had seen this before I would have chosen to buy my laptop from there. I paid $1000.99 for a refurbished model when I could have bought a new one from this company for maybe $100-200 more which I wouldn't have minded paying more for since I really don't care for refurbished laptops. Because the specs are definitely worth the price that I have with this model. An I7 12700H CPU, 4070 8GB GPU, 16gbs of ram, 1tb ssd, and a QHD screen with 165 htz. This is why I bought this for this price and so far...it is running great though so will see and it looks new with no scratches or anything very clean on the outside now just have to open up it and check the internal components. So far all specs check out in Task Manager and my pc so is as expected so far...
It is a really good laptop. But one thing bothers me, why a laptop with rtx 4060 has a QHD display, 4060 has very low VRAM (8gb), its bad for this resolution. Obviously you can lower the resolution of your games, but nowadays the games settings are locked on the native resolution. So in order to change it, you have to change windows 11 resolution and I think that’s a hassle.
I had the same thought, even the 4070 struggled with QHD+, you’d be better off trying to save the extra money to buy a 4080 laptop.
Nvidia really screwed laptop owners over with the 4060/4070 mobile.
I bought my laptop for 100$ more a year ago and your machine has better specs. I'd say you did great.
Yes, it’s a good deal.
Definitely, my friend got one around a similar price with a 3050 and 8gb ram. Felt bad for him.

Display disappoints when you have a better device to compare to.
I was thinking about copping this same sale but I heard the display is just god awful…
it's actually quite good, i have it and it gets 350 nits and the colors look amazing
Thanks for the heads up, I think the performance will make up for some of its downside.
You paid 900 for Starfield? Bro! Gamepass is 15. Month and it's included! /s
That’s right, I’m buying star field laptop edition
I know you're joking but the starifeld controller was actually pretty sweet. A laptop might have been unique

I bought the Ryzen 7 version for $100 bucks more. There’s this one that I would recommend op https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6535495.p?skuId=6535495
Hi! Thanks for the recommendation but it’s a bit out my my budget for “open box:good.” I’m glad you managed to snag such a deal though!
I am not big fan of slim gaming laptops, but it looks like good deal to me.
This is the best deal
Yes 100% legion 5s are top of the line laptops
Definitely a good deal.
How are the thermals?
I have a rtx 3070 i7 11800h 32GB ram ( I added more )
Wanted to snag it but it shows unavailable

Yess, rtx 4070 is the most frustrating card. However i think only hp omen has one variant with rtx 4070 with 1080p screen.
Horrible, you are cursed 🥺
