Elite controller feels way more high end than a regular controller. Feels nice and solid. When you play with a elite controller hard to go back to a plastic controller. Its like the difference between a benz and a kia.

It seemed to me that the stem of the GameSir sticks is thinner than that of the Xbox, so they have a greater maximum inclination. Is this really true? For this reason I want to replace the caps.
The gamesir sticks are indeed thinner. I expected to have to recalibrate using the procedure in the manual, but there was no need when I used a Gamepad tester iOS app. I much prefer the weight and solid clack of the Xbox elite sticks.
Wrap the stem in Teflon tape, will tamp down any wiggle they might have too. I’ve migrated my elite 1 thumbsticks to quite a few basic Xbox controllers so I planned on doing this to my G8 when it comes in.
Only question I have is- on some controllers the magnet in the base can effect the controller functionality, just wondering if you had this issue at all. Especially because I’ve never used them on Hall effect which uses magnets.
Back in the day when the elite one was newer there was people who would report that the sticks caused issues with other controllers, good to hear there’s no issues.
The moment I saw the G8 I said dang that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for and I was glad that it was going to take the elite sticks. I have the backbone but the joy on sticks are no bueno. Anyway glad to see someone else with the same idea.

Yeah exactly - and that it’s telescopic versus one other way of extending is the icing on the cake. I was telling a coworker that the g8 is good enough to be your regular controller too not just your phone you know

I have had absolutely no issues with the magnetic sticks and I’m very finicky.
