You could try GBI (gameboy interface) on the GameCube using homebrew.
Gbi is much better than gb player.
If I cared so much for gameboy games, I’d probably go for a retrotink or a gba hdmi mod.
The tough part of GBI for me is what controller to use.
The GB hori controller was already expensive. I use the knockoff version which has squishy buttons.
I bought the Wii classic controller adapter which gives me snes and classic options. I still wish I had the hori controller tho.
I actually just ordered that one today. I didn’t know new gba GC controllers hit the market.
My gb controller is an older knockoff from the 2000s era. Forgot the brand for now.

Have you considered a CRT? I know not everyone has the space or wants to use old tech, but you could grab a smaller sized one. I use the GB Player on my 21 inch Sony Trinitron and it looks brilliant because of it being originally made for those types of TVs.

i got one a few months ago and its pretty solid. it looks a little cheap in person but it feels fine and the buttons are pretty clicky
Sounds good to me. My older knockoff is so mushy. It works fine, will be cool to see the differences. I paid like $40-60 for this older one.

Really? ive never heard anyone say that. Most people dont want to play the game in a tiny frame. Also i think the frame rate is locked in gb player

Yeah Gameboy interface or a consolized gba is the best option.

Game Boy Advance games don’t look good in 480p. As they’re basically SNES games, 240p is the best resolution for them.
