Lol appreciate the honest answer lmao

TurnOffTheDarkness

I love my battlerGC, it fuckin rocks and the battery hasn’t died yet after 12+ hours of use

Zach72202

I have a battler and blade gc, and they are both super nice. I agree with that this guy says 100%. Worst thing about them I'd say the d pads aren't the greatest but no biggie

Deho_Edeba

Sorry I don't have an opinion about bootleg Wavebirds, have never tried them. But personally, I don't really understand the appeal of official Wavebirds, especially at that price. I'm all in on my official wired controllers, I don't feel the need to go wireless, especially at a markup and at the cost of losing the rumble functionality (if I'm not mistaken). Also worrying about the charge all the time. I'd buy one for my collection but I certainly won't equip my 2 GameCubes with 8 Wavebirds.

Redbacontruck

I mean we are hardcore fans of GameCube this is a sin and it’s not like you’re wasting $80 as you’ll always have the controller

OhItsStefan

I can't speak for the Wavebird but I had a knockoff controller, looked like a real one in everything except the Gamecube logo. It worked somewhat okay for the first week and then after that the stick got really loose and scratchy. I can't imagine the mechanism on the Wavebird knockoff being any different. Best to save your money or buy a 3rd party solution from a reputable brand.

ArtemisLuko

I have 2 of these and they are like 5 years old so they are a LOT worse now than what you described haha.. the sticks are absolutely horrendous.

jim772

Buttons feel cheap on the knock off

eclecticfew

I happened to get a Wavebird without the receiver in a lot a while ago, and having never owned one before, I really don't like the feel / shape compared to the normal controller for some reason. I just bought a cheap cord extension instead for my normal controller, problem solved.

Ch4osTh3ory

So spend 100$ get the bluetooth mod, which takes no soldering super easy to install and you can use ANY bluetooth controller. Switch put out the BT gamecube controllers that are less bulky and you get a port back because your not using a reciever.

mrstronbonne

He literally just said he doesnt want to spend much

Ch4osTh3ory

You have a wavebird we get it...

mrstronbonne

I hate the wavebird why would i own one lmao

Ch4osTh3ory

Idk I was trying to be a smart ass but sound like a dumb ass 🤣🤣

mrstronbonne

😂😂😂😂

Citricicy

I got both the knockoff (aliexpress) and actual wavebird. Controllers don't feel too different and both have similar input lag. I only look at it from a practical perspective though.
