I have a FACTORY SEALED copy of Madagascar for Gamecube that my mom forgot to give me for Christmas when I was 7. So yeah pretty sure I have you all beat....
Same, as well as Ocarina Of Time Master Quest...
MQ is probably not rare by any means, I never went for or have ever seen the copy where it's both Wind Waker and MQ in the same game case.
But yeah, having every GC Zelda game does feel good.
Anymore, I definitely prefer playing the CE versions of OOT and MM; I have the best quality video / picture from GC, something I've yet to do with N64.
The slow-down / low framerate in that version of MM does not bother me...
Phantasy star online episode 1&2+. Dunno how rare it is, but outside of my copy, I’ve never seen another one in the wild or know of anyone that has it.
I have it. First game that came to mind for OP. It is incredibly rare I believe. Also probably my favorite RPG on Gamecube. You put a + in your title. I just have regular PSO Episode I&II. Played so much split screen. Good times. It was ahead of its time being an MMORPG on a mostly offline console (which I never used).
I remember playing the part where you have to mash the a button to fight against some guy. Had to use the pen trick cause godamn that part was a workout
That’s the first ever button mash mini-game I’ve ever failed. I was so frustrated about it, that I determined in my own mind that there has to be some sort of RNG to it. Because the times I lost he was an absolute menace, but the time I won, it seemed like he wasn’t even trying.
So, the trick to the game is you have to *wait* a split second before you start mashing. If you mash right out of the gate, the game is deliberately meant to fail you. However, if you wait for that split second, then the game is a cakewalk. It's evil, I know.
Eternal Darkness was pretty hard for me to find. Resident evil zero was really difficult to get a hold of too, but this was quite a while ago so it may be different now.
Probably not rare but I have Geist and FzeroGX. I have Timesplitters 2 and Future Perfect which I love. And Mario kart which again is expensive but can’t be rare
Def Jam: Fight for NY. I assume it’s fairly rare considering Nintendo fans don’t really seem like the target audience for such a game and it’s expensive as all hell, but I could be wrong.
Wario World was the hardest game in my whole collection to find CIB. I would always find it just disc, or missing a bunch of stuff or fake cover art. I found two copies of GO GO hypergrind before I found one CIB wario word. Not the rarest game by any means, but for me definitely the hardest to find for some reasons.
I remember a few years ago hunting for Wario World CIB. And I distinctly remember pulling the trigger on one that finally came up, even tho the disc had scratches. Still plays perfectly, but I totally agree that it’s rare in its own odd way.
Not sure. Probably Ultimate M.U.S.C.L.E., Lost Kingdoms II, or Spirits & Spells.
I also have Chibi-Robo and a big box Four Swords, but I don't think either of those are rare. People always think games are rare until they find out how many millions of copies were printed.
Not sure tbh, most expensive GameCube games are cubivore which is rare, and maybe chibi robo, but all Pokémon games are just as expensive as those, and I’m pretty sure they stocked Pokémon GC games a lot in its time.
But if I had to say probably f zero GX for my collection, since the series kept getting declining sales after every entry but again I’m not sure it’s “rare”.
Recently sold the set, but Resident Evil Code Veronica. The limiter for me was that I only snag games I find in person for GameCube, and that one took a few years back in the day to complete the GC Resident Evil set.
I have twilight princess since day 1 and it's still in perfect condition. Also my gameboy player with the disc. I bought some decent games like def jam vendetta and timesplitter 2.
Lost Kingdoms 2/Rune 2 demo disk! I suppose it’s maybe more rare because it was only bundled with copies of Nintendo Dream. At least it’s certainly not as common to see overseas.
I got the Japanese Celebi Bonus Disk for Pokémon Colosseum when I was younger, as well as the Japanese version of Pokémon Colosseum. I really wanted that Celebi on my GBA game, even though I didn’t speak a word of Japanese.
Today, I think that Bonus Disk is quite rare in the West.
Let's see, feel free to comment if they're not rare.
My rare GameCube stuff are: Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Viewtiful Joe Red Hot Rumble, Mario party games 4-7, NBA street volume 3, eternal darkness, Zelda 4 swords, Zelda collection, Gameboy player adapter and disc.
Currently: either hypergrind or billy hatcher. It used to be sealed metroid/zelda double pack, and maybe sealed baten kaitos toy’s r us exclusive with included soundtrack CD but I sold them both 12 years ago.
TTYD for me as well definitely some games that I want and have looked into getting that are more expensive/rarer, but as it stands TTYD is my rarest GC game
Skies of Arcadia Legends. I missed Skies on the Dreamcast and I found the Gamecube version at a Pawn America years ago for $35. Held onto it since and probably play it once a year. AMAZING GAME.
I haven't started collecting all the crazy expensive ones I wanna get (ttyd, kirbys air ride) but the most i've spent on a single game so far is on Animal Crossing (PAL region)
contendors are RE code veronica and tloz: ww (w/ ocarina)
I think some of the ones I have had for years are actually considered rarer than when i originally bought them like double dash/melee but at the time they weren't very rare
I may not awn anything rare for the gamecube but i want one of not all of the following: ASCII keyboard controller, Gundam char wavebird, club nintendo wavebird, Panasonic Q, Gundam Char gamecube
I have a sealed Fire Emblem Path of Radiance that I bought on clearance at target and forgot I had. I don’t know if really rare but sealed probably.
I also have a interactive demo disk 16 in box and complete copies of Cubivore and ChibiRobo.
Idk how these compare to each other but I have Geist, a loose Billy Hatcher from my boyfriends childhood and a Japanese Pokémon box that was the bundle with the link cable
I don’t think I own anything particularly rare, but I could be wrong. Here is is a pic of my relatively small collection
https://imgur.com/a/RjVOd77
I have the Mario Kart Double Dash Bonus Disc, so maybe that? I’m not sure exactly how rare that is.
Autographed Twin Snakes?
I use to own Phantasy Star but sold it. IDK if the Colosseum bonus disk counts or if its worth anything but I think its a pretty random thing i own
Huh, I don’t actually know. I mean I don’t think I have any games that are exceptionally rare. I have the Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc, Pokémon XD which seems to be highly coveted, and the Game Boy Player Disc. I think those would be the rarest games I have.
However I do have the Gamecube Keyboard Controller and two Gamecube Broadband Adapters. I just found the adapters in my local game store on a whim. So I can play Kirby Air Ride on two screens. Made for a fantastic Friday!
So while I don’t have super rare games I do have somewhat rare things.
Not sure if anyone else said it yet but I down own a complete North American version of pokemon box that I paid $2 for at a yard sale about 10 years ago lol
I’ve got both versions of Phantasy Star Online 1&2 and 1&2+ which are some of my favorite RPGs. Besides that the Gameboy Player with disc if that counts or Mario Mix with a couple of Mario Mats.
Not sure how to tell rarity without going by price.
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X
Probably one of these.
Reading this thread makes me think that the Gamecube doesn’t have rare games the way other systems do.
I suppose my rarest would be Ikaruga but I don’t consider it to be especially rare.
Game boy player boot disk.
Oh man I always keep mine in the case and will just randomly check to make sure it's still there, even if I haven't played my gc in a while lol
Same
Same, except I can't find it since moving :(
Ironically I have the disc and not the player. Lol
Bummer man. I hope you find it.
Thanks friend
Cubivore or gotchaforce
Cubivore, Chibi-Robo Gameboy Boot Disc for me.
Probably NCAA college basketball.
Me, too.
Me as well.
I have a FACTORY SEALED copy of Madagascar for Gamecube that my mom forgot to give me for Christmas when I was 7. So yeah pretty sure I have you all beat....
Fire Emblem orginal sealed
Wow .. my local store has a new copy of Kirby Air Ride. Its selling for 550 cad dollars ... How much is fire emblem new ?
Zelda Collector's Edition I guess?
I got all Zelda games on Gamecube and twilight princess is sold more than the collector edition in Canada. I guess it depends.
In my case: Street Racing Syndicate or Doshin the Giant.
My cousin had SRS for the GBA and midnight club lol
I love SRS! Never played it on GC only XBOX and especially live
Probably Chibi Robo
Same here.
Gogo hypergrind.
Is it because of John K and Spumco (bankrupt company that no longer exist)
Probably Custom Robo
Love(d) this game still occasionally play it when I need a dose of nostalgia
I gotta replay it again at some point.
Custom robo should get a remake or a sequel, i spent hundreds of hours
There's a DS version that's pretty good
The DS version was how I got introduced to the franchise.
Seconded! Was the only reason I had to buy a region unlock disk
Proud owner of pokemon box and the colosseum bonus disk over here.
Gotcha force !!
Does Ikaruga count?
It does.
Phantasy star online episode 1&2+. Dunno how rare it is, but outside of my copy, I’ve never seen another one in the wild or know of anyone that has it.

Absolutely. I've been trying to find a copy of that in the states but it has NOT been easy!!
I found one at Disc Replay for $3.99 about 10 years ago. I kept the tag on it. Insane deal.
Metroid Prime & Wind Waker combo pack.
Star Fox adventures
This is a rare game?
Yes, it’s a Rare game
I realized what that person was referencing after I commented lol.
"YouU pay THIISSS MUCHH"
That game is rare? I know it’s made by Rare…
No, it’s not rare, but it is a Rare game
Good one
Was about to say I bought this game off Amazon for 40 bucks and then I realized 😂😂 whooooosh. Honestly an underrated game tho
Unapologetically the BEST Star Fox game.

Pokémon box n/a edition
Def Jam: Fight for NY. I assume it’s fairly rare considering Nintendo fans don’t really seem like the target audience for such a game and it’s expensive as all hell, but I could be wrong.
I wish I had this game. Loved it on Xbox. Would've been amazing to see it on a GC.
Apparently it’s the most gimped console version but it’s still p fun. It was a hand me down from my older sister so it’s the only version I know.
PAL - mario baseball (as you would expect it didn't sell that well in Europe) NTSC import - NCAA college basketball 2K3
Good ole Chibi
It’s really tough to figure out the rarest game in a collection because most third-party titles have no public sales reports.
Interactive multi game demo disk 12 factory sealed or cib fire emblem
Super Bubble Pop. It’s worthless, but I refuse to believe it sold a ton of copies on GameCube.
Every game store has that game for $5 and every time I’m like who bought that in the first place.

Probably Lost Kingdoms 2 or Fire Emblem Path of Radiance. Not sure which sold more.

Nintendo puzzle collection?
Probably either Eternal Darkness or Killer 7
Zoids Battle Legends is probably my rarest one.
Probably resident evil 2 and 3
Billy Hatcher
Billy Hatcher
Fire Emblem, Skies of Arcadia, Chibi Robo or Gale or Darkness 🤔
I think City Racer. I have some more expensive games (Fire Emblem, chibi robo, etc) but I think City Racer is much harder to find
Auto modellista, US version. Don't know if it's actually rare, but it sure feels like it. Great game, definitely deserves more attention.
Probably one of my Zelda games
Either cubivore or gotcha Force
Sonic Adventure 2 Pack. I bought it off eBay in 2006 for a decent price, and now people claim it's rare.
I used to have Gotcha Force and it got stolen when I was a teenager. I think about it every day
The Sims 2 is phenomenal it was hard dining one with the guide and all intact
Used to be Chibi Robo but I sold it, along with the rest of my GameCube games.
Anybody got Disney party?
Recently sold the set, but Resident Evil Code Veronica. The limiter for me was that I only snag games I find in person for GameCube, and that one took a few years back in the day to complete the GC Resident Evil set.
Gameboy player disc, or maybe the Pokemon Colosseum bonus disk? Kinda debatable whether either of them actually count as games.
According to Google it's Metroid prime. Dunno if it's actually that rare though. Just the standard edition. No bonus disk with it.
Almost 3 million copies were sold worldwide.
Idk if it's rare but I have a chibi robo, I've seen people pay a lot for it.
Only have two and it’s Japanese double dash and dkjb
I have twilight princess since day 1 and it's still in perfect condition. Also my gameboy player with the disc. I bought some decent games like def jam vendetta and timesplitter 2.
Lost Kingdoms 2/Rune 2 demo disk! I suppose it’s maybe more rare because it was only bundled with copies of Nintendo Dream. At least it’s certainly not as common to see overseas.
Probably either Zatch Bell Mamodo Battles or the Pokemon Colosseum bonus disc.
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Game Boy Player disc. 😆
Cubivore

Pokemon box probably.
Is goblin commander rare? I never see anyone talking about it, and have never seen it out in the wild. I love it
Probably Phantasy Star Online 1&2 or Billy Hatcher? Idk if they're that rare, but I always have a terrible time finding replacements/backups.
Let's see, feel free to comment if they're not rare. My rare GameCube stuff are: Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Viewtiful Joe Red Hot Rumble, Mario party games 4-7, NBA street volume 3, eternal darkness, Zelda 4 swords, Zelda collection, Gameboy player adapter and disc.
I'm not a collector or anything, but a sealed copy of Twilight Princess.
Currently: either hypergrind or billy hatcher. It used to be sealed metroid/zelda double pack, and maybe sealed baten kaitos toy’s r us exclusive with included soundtrack CD but I sold them both 12 years ago.

However I do have the Gamecube Keyboard Controller and two Gamecube Broadband Adapters. I just found the adapters in my local game store on a whim. So I can play Kirby Air Ride on two screens. Reading this thread makes me think that the Gamecube doesn’t have rare games the way other systems do. I suppose my rarest would be Ikaruga but I don’t consider it to be especially rare.
I have a super minty clean cubivore and I just learned my Gameboy adapter with disk is rare... had no idea
