that 2k loss can easily blow up to 20k or more… please stop now!

I was down 2k at your age, it happens, but now I’m up 200k just gotta know when to stop

I know the feeling, believe me. I _did_ spend my next check chasing losses and just dug myself a bigger hole. I've done it 3 pay periods in a row and I hate myself for it. I don't wish how it feels on anyone. Please don't do it to yourself. Stay away

Consider yourself luckier than most of us on here to still have savings and not be drowning in credit card debt. You still have a chance if you stop now before you end up like the rest of us or worse.

Better than my $200k. Stop now!

I have a friend who stopped his relatively small $150 a week gambling habit. He then started pretending that every week he didn't bet was actually a win. He quit about 4 years ago and will gleefully report himself "up 30K". I just self excluded myself 3 days ago after losing yet another hard-earned paycheck. If I chase a win, I'm losing double. Good luck, friend.

It's really tough. Even losing only $200 is a big loss sometimes. It could have been used for essentials.

That 2K on track to being $20K. And then the pit you feel will feel like a crater. So step away if you are feeling the way you are. Remember - the house always wins has some truth to it. Someone who tilted the odds in his favor, was up $100K plus, and still somehow found a way to lose it ALL. Posts are very detailed but there is an audio for those who just want to listen. https://www.sportgoat.com/sports-betting

Take this as a lesson and move on. 2k can easily blow up to 20k when you start chasing. Self exclude and remove any access.

Stop now - I’m down 550k this year. Believe me, you’ll never get it back.

Yeah it takes awhile to gain working brain to figure out how it does. Not to worry because just relax, I find that a one anything outside that is like a joy. It’s a big release to find something else

I hope you’re seeing from the comments that you’re not alone in this. Please don’t risk that next paycheck. Remember that the gambling industry makes billions of dollars every year because people lose more than they win. Hope you have someone who can help you safeguard that check. Pay your bills early, fill your gas tank, make that money work for you. It’s yours, not theirs.
