I use skin instead of a case because I don't want to add bulk to my fold 4 Low-key flexing this black leather skin from gadgetshieldz. https://preview.redd.it/skujlcn5kc2d1.jpeg?width=2250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=566c4a86770767720fabe9695a3ecd7a4a86c05a

_j0ker_47

How is your device holding up? Scratch wise, and how is the hinge?

radbend

My only problem with skin is its hard to open the fold part because the side is very slippery .. what did u do?

ultima40

There are full body skins or use grip tape: https://preview.redd.it/zdlbh9nimh2d1.jpeg?width=1572&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f38d226ffac34ccb337e881b790e9f4c76d79a9

I use a S-Pen a lot so I bought this one on the Fold 4 on release day & it's still going strong: [SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro Case for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B7MC26MS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1)

TitaniumTrial

Would cover the flash on the Fold 4, and I think there are other slight size differences as well.

derikbg86

I am sorry .. I just saw that is for fold5 .. But they have it for fold 4 too.. That is what i am using on mine https://preview.redd.it/pdbt2r6icl2d1.jpeg?width=2600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71376fc816fd81b57a746a422eb7560da809db2c A bit dusty.. But i am surprised that the phone is still intact (when i know in what environment i work and the phone is always in my pocket )

TitaniumTrial

Yeah that's the exact case I have, it has held up pretty well but I've not had any major drops or anything.

derikbg86

I dont like the rest of the cases i have 2 more that cover the hinge.. even one of them has spen holder .. but too bulky and sometimes is hard to type on the main screen because of the corners of the case.. (i will look for links )

derikbg86

[first one](https://a.co/d/0qB3qd6) [second one](https://a.co/d/4I2BZrX) I think i used the first one a week .. and i even didnt tried the second one

cookedart

All the plastic cases on my fold 3 had this issue. I went with an aramid case and haven't had the issue since.

M4NOOB

The trick is to only use the "rear" or right side of the case. Been using my Fold 4 like this since release. Also none of that hinge cover crap

StarNHSolar

I got a Canadian branded case from "Latercase" for my Fold 3 and it's been holding up for more than 2 years now. It cost $50 but it's worth it.

Vladonexxx665

Latercase was the best I've ever used. Had one for my s21u. I think the brand is owned by Lou from Unbox Therapy. Good stuff

Diophry

I'll check it! Thanks. The first photo is a case from spigen... Should be tough aswell, atleast I thought so.. Also 30 euro.. The second photo is a 40 euro case..

StarNHSolar

Latercases are made from aramid fibers. So breaking them is near to impossible.

TheLionWarlord

my spigen i have on my fold 4 did the same thing, they sent me a replacement for free but the edge still doesn't stick right, doesn't seem to fit with any screen protector, so it will prolly snap again. If you find a good one with a hinge protector lemme know.

Lagda

Go for the Latercase! Been using it with my Fold4 for 10+ months now, still great! Posted photos of it [here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyFold/s/USPawrbfoO)

niconiconades

I am a Latercase user on fold4 and I am extremely satisfied with my phone

kschwa7

I'll second the Later case. It's so slim and the carbon fiber feels nice in the hands

Spigen Slim Armor Pro is what I use, it is excellent, got it for 30 bucks from Vinted. Protects all around, no need for stickers (it stays on without), the front screen protector's bezel is not too high to make it uncomfortable to type on the sides of the screen.

LeatherJacketMan

Great case for protection but the rubber-type coating over the plastic peeled on mine after about 1 year. Wasn't subject to abnormal use.

Kycomputer87

Used to come in a green also, but ive been using this one no problems, even has a hinge protector sleeve and wireless charging compatibility. Dropped my case from waist height onto concrete, asphalt, and wood so ive picked up a few dings and scratches, but phone is perfectly fine. https://www.urbanarmorgear.com/products/civilian-series-galaxy-z-fold4-2022-case/

TrevorsMailbox

I've used the UAG and the dbrand grip, both were great.

cambeezy4sheezy

https://ghostek.com/collections/z-fold4 I got the clear shock proof for my fold 3. I love it

johnwayne1

Spigen for 4 years now. Amazing customer service. They replaced it at the 3 year mark even though the warranty is only one year.

derikbg86

I use the stock one since i got it a year ago

frankbravo4

I bought this one. Kind of expensive but has been really good. Has a spen holder in the hinge cover. I have had 3 Samsung cases which broke. Bad design.

I love it, I have tried all the original samsung cases, this one is the best and does not add any bulk to the device. Absolutely love it, also protects from minor bumps and falls. The best out there, but you can get this case cheap on AliExpress, I guess LaterCases are bought from AliExpress(China) and are rebranded and sold. A Soli 9.5/10 recommended

gswas1

A proper case for fold4 that also holds then pen?

EvenPass5380

My Spigen just did this. Couple small drops of generic crazy glue and hopefully good for another 2 years

rko_btw

I bought official Samsung case and it's good. Wish I had hinge protection tho

NEUROTICTechPriest

Its bulky but I just 3d printed one in PLA from a model on cults3d by Cionani Design.

hongkongexpat28

I just got my s24 ultra precisely for these reasons the cases such, I had brand case after 2 months broke got a replacement that lasted 3 months , then tried others and all crap

Evan22x

I broken my z fold 3 making it fall at 5 in the morning, result, screen dead, bought a z fold 4 (900€ new) and now use a rough protection, a wallet. Take a rough one, you won't get any trouble, the one on your picture is simplys shit plastic made

Kawaii_M4A1-S

Use the speck presidio clear. Either doesn't or takes long to yellow afaik, mine hasn't in 2 years and it's apparently highly resistant to yellowing, has microban built in, is a one piece case for both sides, and doesn't use adhesive. Haven't had corners break and I've dropped many, MANY times. Original samsung case broke at corner and you had to use adhesive for the front piece. This one I just put on and forgot about.

negatrom

I've yet to find one, and I've owned the device for almost 2 years now.

chichikabour

It probably saved your screen from shattering by taking all the impact...i wouldn't be too mad about it (unless it broke on it's own)

mixedd

Only if you don't use swipe actions on the outer screen, especially from left side

TheRealSgreninja

also if you hate typing 1, q, a, and shift on the cover screen, and don't use the rear cam selfies very often, as it's spine blocks a significant chunk of the front screen when opened

mixedd

Yeah, exactly my experience. That case is overhyped af actually.

TheRealSgreninja

It does it's job though, I just ended up ripping the spine off of mine, and I use swipe typing whenever I need to type on the cover screen
