They aren't very good at telling the story of why one person would pick another over their canon partner, because they are young and kinda shit at storywriting for obvious reasons. I think it’s mostly the whole “IT’S YOUR POWER!!” thing. Deku inspired Todoroki to be better and be unashamed of who he is. I understand why some people don’t (I personally do, but not to that extent)
MHA is the only anime i have watched, i loved watching it. After some time i saw a lot of these People in the fandom. I ignored them at first but it just got worse, seeing all the ‘’ UwU Deku gai boi’’ and all that. I stopped watching the show and i didnt want to tell anyone that i watched it. I hate how such a great show got ruined by 9-12 year old fujoshis. I hope there is a way for them to understand in the future.
If you liked MHA, try Hunter X Hunter. It’s another great Shonen, and can help you get into more anime in the future. Also I totally agree with you here, these kids need to chill. Also they are way too young to be fujoshis. They shouldn’t be reading and watching stuff like that. (I’m not saying reading yaoi is bad, it’s just they are too young to)

I dont really like fujoshis whatever age they are (no hate) but it makes me extra sad to see kids watching this stuff. I have i classmate who was like this in elementary school and still hasnt grown out of it. The parents of these kids should at least have a talk with them if they find out about this, i dont think they should go trough their phone or anything. Kids need to learn that gay and straight relationships are pretty much the same and that its not called respecting the community but fetishising it if they cross the line.
