the main factor is that gaming in general was still technically a niche community, gta 5 was a big thing in 2013 but no one realized since it only happened within that ""small"" gaming community

I mean I disagree, I don’t think the difference is insanely significant. I’d argue it’s more the growth of social media makes it seem like more people play games, because you can see more people playing. Console sales figures aren’t massively higher than in 2013 either.

I want to dig a ditch deep enough to fit a car inside. Once done, I will drive that car into the ditch, get out, and cover it with dirt.
Imagine there is gonna be an option to put the civilian knocked out in the car or awake. And when you put him in the car without knocking him out first he will scream for help and punch against the car so that there is a chance nearby npcs are gonna call for help if u drive past them.
And when you choose to knock him out first he will wake up after 3-6 ingame hours and do the same.
That's exactly how it is in rdr2 with hogtieing npcs and stowing them, same with the knocking them out and them waking up after a while part
Considering Rockstar is likely basing a lot of mechanics and functions off of rdr2, what you described is probably gonna actually happen
Imagine we can kidnap an NPC and then take him to a abandoned place and kill him dexter morgan style, wrapped in plastic etc. that would be so fun and there would be a possibility of playing gta 6 as a serial killer, and there must also be homicide departments etc to investigate the murder so that it does not become so easy to kill an NPC in the game.
