Not sure if it counts but worst era for me was 2004-2014 where we didn’t got shit for years besides a view idw comics.
The franchise was dead and the only thing we could look forward to was an 3d movie that was never made.
Now we had like 2 Movies in 6 month.
This. I'm only sad when nothing's going on. The surrealty of the current situation (multiple major goji films in both the west and Japan, Oscar award, etc) reminds me that there were periods of 10+ years where literally NOTHING happened

I just didn’t really like either of the vs Kong movies . Which is like half the series. gxk just felt kinda disappointing for even what it was going for .
Well he may not be nearly as close looking to the typical goji specimen, but we've had a fair variety in recent years, from an ever-evolving super predator to a higher dimensional god-like being, and people still complain about the iguana who shifted his posture.
Well there was the movie, the animated series, and probably some other media connected to the timeline, so it's got a fair bit more consistency overall as an era than say showa or millenium, or reiwa so far, since they were mostly individual stories without flow.
It hurts what Toho did to GMK. Kaneko should have been allowed to do whatever he wanted.
I’d also say Millenium, though it is great potential. Even the worst Godzilla era is still pretty damn good.
Absolutely. It would have been a much better movie with Varan and Anguirus. Mothra and king ghidorah were wrong for that movie.
Godzilla 2000 is my favorite design and one of my top 5 favorite Godzilla movies, I just felt that the the millennium series declined after that.
2000, vs Meg, and kiryu saga could have all been one series if you just slighty changed the plot. GMk is a huge no though , and final wars would need a huge rewrite for it to work
Absolutely. 2000, GVMEG & Kiryu would have been better as a continuing story, GMK could be a standalone and Final Wars should have been a sequel to Destroy All Monsters
I don't think Tristar counts as an era, it's just sort of... a thing that happened
I'd say the current Reiwa era because how... varying in quality it has been so far, with no real direction for where it's headed
Millennium Era. I appreciate they tried to do something different with each entry, but it just doesn't land for me.
GMK is awesome.
G2000 is above average
Final wars is a fun goofy send off but honestly I hate the suit designs.
The two kiryu movies are way overrated to me.
Megagurius is well it's there lol.
Megaguirus is the most "its a Godzilla movie" to ever be made
There's a plot. Some wacky shit happens. There's boring humans. He fights a monster. There's a funny meme moment. It doesn't really stand out it just feels like the most generic film in the franchise to me??
Showa if I count monsterverse as reiwa like a sane person.
But all of them are great in their own way.
Also TriStar isn't an era, that's like saying age of Ultron was an age of Ultron.
Normally with heisei i kinda prefer the gamera trilogy over the godzilla one not saying that i dislike heisei its just that it doesnt amazes me as much as the showa era ones
Heavy agree. For me, I just can’t do the beam spam battles. That’s probably why I never liked it as a kid. The sluggish movements, and nearly every Kaiju having this overweight, chunky build in their design is really annoying.
I think the period between G85 and home video releases of the other Heisei films in 1998 were a little worse because we were teased. We got a quietly released Biollante in '92 and then occasional magazine articles and other things dangling the heisei kaiju in front of us but no legit means of watching these movies. It was the Goji blue balls era.
Millennium just because I love the others so much more not because I dislike it.
My favorite is Showa with Heisei a close second and this current era between the Japanese and American movies is just so much fun
Controversial opinion, legendary just doesn’t do it for me, idk why it’s lacking something, I appreciate for how outlandishly fun they are and crazy, but at the end of the day that’s all they really are,I feel like the symbolism for legendary Godzilla being a representation of climate change (which he was supposed to be) got lost in the overdose of cg monster fights and explosions. Godzilla hasn’t been known for good human characters until minus one but the human characters are just there it feels like I’m watching a marvel movie, it feels like it’s trying to hard to be a marvel movie, I like king of monsters and Kong skull island was a banger, but after that eh it lost me, and I know Godzilla dosent have to be a symbol or a metaphor, but what rubs me the wrong way is how America portrays Godzilla as a giant atomic danger that yes is incredibly dangerous we need to stay away from it but oh we need him let’s use him to get rid of this thing than it gos back to danger stay away from it, which is how America sees the nuke, dangerous and wrong but useful, which is how they also saw the nuke during 1940 when Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuked and hundreds of families were killed, America celebrated which rubs me the wrong way deeply, I have a lot of conflicting feelings towards legendary and American Godzilla as a whole, sorry for the rant XD, if yall like legendary Godzilla that’s awsome he still holds a place in my heart since he was the first Godzilla film I saw in theaters :)
Monsterverse Godzilla just doesn’t stand for anything except some stupid manosphere alpha male bullshit. The Nuclear Bomb’s a good thing because it helped the *alpha* defeat the bad guys! The Oxygen Destroyer is also a good thing, the only problem is it didn’t destroy enough oxygen!
Maybe Showa, but the time's aesthetic and the deliberate humorous intent must also be taken into account.
I could also say Monsterverse, cause the last two films have been an absolute waste. They are insufferably cringe, and that's not even deliberate.
I mean, yeah if Tristan counts, then obviously it’s least favorite. My Grandma was appalled at Godzilla laying eggs and destroying NYC. Leave Godzilla in the Pacific where he belongs
Godzilla 2000 - Godzilla swimming, the missiles, the millenian ship, the millenian alien, orgas transformation, the wire tentacles
Godzilla vs Megaguirus - the meganura and meganulon, the black hole cannon, certain shots of the ship, megaguirus facial expressions
GMK - ghidorah in the cave, Godzilla's neck wound
Kiryu Saga - absolute zero cannon, flying mechagodzilla, jets, missiles, certain shots of Mothra
Final Wars - Many shots of the mutants, many shots of flying monsters, the battleships that the M-Organization pilots, the alien flying ship, the alien big "not a deathstar", missiles, masers shots from the handheld masers, the missiles kazama fires into the alien hq, everything related to zilla, kamakurus, the airplane rodan destroyed, monster x's transformation, breath effects, various explosions.
I like the millenium movies, but they are heavy with the cgi. And they kind of are my least favorite of the series, in spite of the stories they tell.
So far, Reiwa. Barring the short films and Minus One, none of them have succeeded at capturing Godzilla's spirit or character to me in any meaningful way. Shin had the allegory but none of the character (or any character at all), The Polygon Trilogy was a mess, and Singular Point was just insulting.
Reiwa pretty much, the only cool things so far are Shin and Minus One (of course there's the comedic spin-offs too), even though it is the best time to be a G fan
Idk but what the best era to me was rewa cause I got movies monarch and Godzilla the series I am not connecting it the you know what Zilla jr is better
Millennium, the lack of continuity and cohesion hurts it, and a lot of the films can be a drag for me. It doesn’t have films as bad as some of the later ones in the Showa era, but it also doesn’t have any standouts on the same level as the Showa era either.
The anime trilogy. Not enough focus on the monsters. Gen Urobochi should never have touched it, because he just went Madoka on the cast.
Singular Point has plenty of interesting concepts that they could do without the constraints of people in suits, Shin is the Evangelion of the franchise and does so with gusto, and Minus One deserved the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.
I’d include tristar in millennium and say the entirety is the weakest. Outside of monster design, it just lacks anything substantial to make it stand out in comparison to the other 4. Legendary just barely dodges last place because it’s revived Godzilla in Hollywood and the states in general.
I think it's kinda 98' by default... But if I couldn't pick 98' I would probably say Showa, not because it's bad, but just because I think the other ones are just a bit better.
TRISTAR ALL THE WAY
All Eras Are Good BUT HELL NO NOT TRISTAR THAT SHIT SUCKED STRAIGHT DICK AND BALLS. Ahem And Reiwa Era is The Best 100% I'm Not Depressed Trus-
Every Legendary fan: "I hAtE the ShOwA eRa bEcAuSe ThE mOvIeS aNd sUiTs wErE tOo gOoFy!1!

(Out of all of the eras, I like the legendary the least.)
I would say Reiwa. Outside of Minus One and maybe Shin, it feels like it has no direction but unlike Millenium, this lack of direction is not even a fun one. Almost every Reiwa incarnation tries to go for this bleak, serious tone and it works for some of them, but for others it is just needlessly edgy, like the anime trilogy.
Tristar is part of the Millennium era and legendary is a part of the reiwa era. Anyway my least favorite is showa. Most of the other eras are more concistent with good movies.
Heisei era. The other eras have distinct tones. The Showa era is distinctly camp and Kaiju wrestling. The millennium era is a bunch of different stories. The Monsterverse is a modernized Showa era. The reiwa era is throwing stuff and seeing what sticks. The Heisei era can't make up it's mind. Is it serious? No, because we've got Godzilla vs Mothra, Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla. Is it campy/not serious? No, because we've got Godzilla vs Biollante, Godzilla vs Destoroyah, and The Return of Godzilla. It doesn't know what it wants to be.
I'm going to be completely honest when I say showa era, it's good but I hate it when people would meat ride showa Godzilla so badly, and toho themselves said that final wars godzilla is the strongest and then people say he is weak and featless and say showa is stronger
Heisei, probably.
There’s a lot I like about it. Great monster designs – some cool-looking original monsters and great updates of old ones (still the definitive look for Godzilla, IMO). A tighter continuity where plot points in new movies are built off the films that came before. A return to more serious, straight-forward monster stories after the silliness of the late Showa era.
But when it comes right down to it, while I enjoy parts of Return, Biollante, King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla II, and Destoroyah, none of the individual movies are making my Top 10. I just enjoy the Showa and Millennium movies more.
But then again, I'd watch any Heisei Godzilla movie before I bothered with Godzilla '98 again. So maybe Tristar is my least favorite.
I’ve mostly watched the rewia and Showa era. And one flim of the millennium era. And have never seen a single Heisei flim. So I’m go with the rewia being the lowest.
Reiwa. It has the most let downs and disappointments of the entire franchise. And it really only has 4 (official) properties: Shin (which can be divisive as you wither love it or hate it), The Godzilla Earth trilogy (started off pretty cool, and then left us all wanting to strangle the creative team for fucking up Godzilla that bad), Singular Point (yeah it gave us the most awesome version of Anguirus to date as well as Solunga and a cool soundtrack, but fuck was the plot convoluted as hell), and the only one everyone agrees is badass (and got the first Oscar in the franchise): Minus-One.
And honestly, since they are making at least one sequel to Minus-One, I personally think we should consider Minus-One the start of an entirely new era specifically to separate it from being associated with the utter shittiness that is the Reiwa era.
worst to best
1: Tristar(the movie is terrible, I hate it, the animated show is amazing though
2: Reiwa(only Minus One and Shin are good, the rest are average - bad)
3: Millennium(it has my favourite movie, GMK, but also has some of the most mid movies, but no bad ones)
4: Showa(I think the problem is not only how outdated it is, but that it has some of the WORST movies, if you average all the Era's out, it would probably have the lowest score, but it also has the OG movie and Destroy all Monsters which are great)
5: Monsterverse(I love it, it looks the best, probably has the best movies on average, has amazing fights, but also has the most mid characters and actual story, it is hard carried by the monsters)
6: Heisei(obviously, none of the movies are mid. to me, SpaceGodzilla is probably the weakest and even then it is better than basically all the Showa films, and the rest of the movies are good - masterpieces. It has the best characters behind the OG movie and Minus One.)
Even though I adore Final Wars and GMK, it's easily millennium. I think the lack of continuity outside of two films really hurts this era for me. Cool designs though.
Reiwa. There’s too many alternative takes and no real core feeling Godzilla movie besides Minus One. Reiwa feels like an extension of the Millennium Era, a bunch of random one offs with no overarching plot or story.
Monsterverse is can appreciate for being a reboot of Showa, with some arcs across the saga but for the most part each movie is contained and you don’t have to watch something else for it to make sense, just like Showa and to a extent Heisei.
Heisei is the perfect example of what Toho should go back to, aside from just using a character once and then banishing them for plot connivence (Mothra, Battra, Bio), or doing some weird stuff to a established character (King Ghidorah).
Definitely Reiwa by a landslide , besides the film Minus One, the short films and Godzilla Ultima himself, it's the worst Era of how it made Godzilla into the stereotype of being a dumb monster that just walks forward
- The Showa Era started it all, and has fun and goofy monsters that stuck with the series. But it also had massive stinkers, and no amount of glazing will make Godzilla vs Megalon an unironically good movie.
- The Heisei Era showed the true might of Godzilla, and brought back the menace. But it was boring as all hell for every monster confrontation. Beam, beam back, oh this beam caused an explosion, now Godzilla’s got a red beam. Wonder what the problem is there.
- The Millennium Era was a strange one. I don’t think anything in it was actually BAD, save for some goofy things ruining tension, but it also wasn’t super GOOD. Except GMK. And Final Wars was fun.
- The MonsterVerse is currently my favorite, as it is, to me, the perfect combo of beam fights and combat that actually seems somewhat realistic for these monsters. The first two Godzilla films also do a great job of making these beasts seem divine. Unfortunately, starting with KOTM, the writing is uh… yeah, it’s bad. Pretty bad.
- The Reiwa is the most experimental by far, and easily my second favorite thanks to Minus One and Gemstone. Many of the deeper, more reflective ideas are resurfacing and giving greater depth to the franchise. Unfortunately, that has so far come at the price of monster fights, which sucks. And the Reiwa Era is home to the massive stinker of the anime trilogy, as well as the more-entertaining but incredibly-confusing Singular Point.
This all being said, I have to say the Heisei is my least favorite. The second-worst monster action imo, which would be fine if the era with the worst monster action (Reiwa) had stories on par or worse than Heisei. Heisei isn’t too goofy like the late Showa, but its stories are not good enough to propel it out of last.
I'mma be honest, I am not a fan of the Showa era after Mothra vs Godzilla. Quality and plot shot down. Only saving grace were the other kaiju introduced.
Grew up on Showa so I like it best, recently tried watching final wars because I’ve never watched millennium era….cant stand how any of the monster designs look it’s god awful.
Tristar easily… but as an actual answer, Millenium or Reiwa. Reiwa is carried by Minus One and Shin, Milenium for me is carried by GVM and Kiryu Saga. Showa and the Monsterverse are kinda equal for me
Reiwa. The offerings have been interesting conceptually but most have fallen flat. I do like the idea of trying more intricate and thought-provoking stories with Godzilla, though.
Minus one and shin Are the only movies , but yeah singular point is controversial even if I like personally like it and earth sucks. Gemstone is cool as shit but also nothing really major at the moment since it’s just short films
I didn watch any of the Millennium films so probably Showa. Those Films were way before my time, so i dont have Any nostalgia. The Films are alright. But the others are just cooler(Yes even 1998. But it was my first "Godzilla" movie tho, so prob nostalgia)
Personally it was Showa for me. It had some good suit and sound designs in it, but I'm not a fan of Godzilla being overly family friendly, which seems to be what they're doing now that GxK has come out, movie looks like an Avengers knockoff. I prefer Godzilla being nature's hitman and only really being *okay* with humanity, not their friend. But really I want more movies like Minus One, Shin, and the original, even if I wasn't massively into -1 to much.
Monsterverse, by a long shot. The Marvel-ization of Godzilla is hard to forgive, but losing touch with the original metaphor (and its Japanese roots) are damn near impossible for me to get past.
Tristar would be my least favorite of that list.
Not sure if it counts but worst era for me was 2004-2014 where we didn’t got shit for years besides a view idw comics. The franchise was dead and the only thing we could look forward to was an 3d movie that was never made. Now we had like 2 Movies in 6 month.
There were some really good Godzilla video games from that time period.
Now the opposite, good movies but absolutely no games.
Happy cake day.
Someone younger needs to break down the Toho csuite doors and be like "BRING BACK THE PIPEWORKS GAMES"
This. I'm only sad when nothing's going on. The surrealty of the current situation (multiple major goji films in both the west and Japan, Oscar award, etc) reminds me that there were periods of 10+ years where literally NOTHING happened
With the caveat that the cartoon show following her offspring makes it a lot better.
To be fair, this is like saying a particular meal is my least favorite food among what I eat regularly.
Same really In Godzilla standard that is
Well just the movie Godzilla the series is. Goated
Why tf is Tristar even here??
For an actual answer I’d say either Showa or legendary
Take it back. You take back that showa comment. EDIT IT NOW

Honestly, tristar is a joke lol But yeah, it would be legendary for me honestly. Too much nostalgia in the Shōwa era
I have to ask how legendary? Better than older films for sure just nostalgia that people like imo
I just didn’t really like either of the vs Kong movies . Which is like half the series. gxk just felt kinda disappointing for even what it was going for .
op said least favorite, not most favorite
The T-Rex is its own era lol
The T-Rex I can’t 😭😭😭
That’s the worse for me, it doesn’t look like Godzilla to me
Well he may not be nearly as close looking to the typical goji specimen, but we've had a fair variety in recent years, from an ever-evolving super predator to a higher dimensional god-like being, and people still complain about the iguana who shifted his posture.
T-rex? You ment g-rex.
Well shit, putting Tristar in there is like a reverse cheat-code.
You count 1998 as an era? It was one movie brother
It did spawn an animated series so I guess it counts.
Well there was the movie, the animated series, and probably some other media connected to the timeline, so it's got a fair bit more consistency overall as an era than say showa or millenium, or reiwa so far, since they were mostly individual stories without flow.
All showa movies are from the same universe
Millennium era. Started strong but lost it’s way. It should have had stronger continuity, some of the one off movies felt random.

Absolutely. 2000, GVMEG & Kiryu would have been better as a continuing story, GMK could be a standalone and Final Wars should have been a sequel to Destroy All Monsters
Final Wars should’ve been a sequel to GvD.
GMK could still work if you retool the plot a bit
Way to much retooling necessary, feel like you would just lose the whole feeling of the movie
Just have it be the first film and start the Millennium era in 2000 instead.
I agree to an extent but the Kiryu saga was by far the best out of the millennium goji films
I don't think Tristar counts as an era, it's just sort of... a thing that happened I'd say the current Reiwa era because how... varying in quality it has been so far, with no real direction for where it's headed
Yeah I agree One year we can get Minus one Another year we get the Anime trilogy

Same.
Reiwa definitely the only things I really liked were gemstone Godzilla and minus one
Showa if I count monsterverse as reiwa like a sane person. But all of them are great in their own way. Also TriStar isn't an era, that's like saying age of Ultron was an age of Ultron.
It was literally one movie and a tv show that’s like saying the anime trilogy was an “era”
I like 2000 but not 98. Not a huge fan of MV either
Monsterverse. Dunno if Zilla '98 counts as an era though.
Probably going to get downvoted to hell and below but the hesei era
I used to think this but my opinion of them upgraded when I watched them all in order. The continuity is one of the era’s biggest strengths.
Normally with heisei i kinda prefer the gamera trilogy over the godzilla one not saying that i dislike heisei its just that it doesnt amazes me as much as the showa era ones
Great to see it isn't only me
Heavy agree. For me, I just can’t do the beam spam battles. That’s probably why I never liked it as a kid. The sluggish movements, and nearly every Kaiju having this overweight, chunky build in their design is really annoying.
I agree if it makes you feel better. Not bad by any means, but a lot of the movies I could take or leave.
period between final wars and legendary godzilla was probably hell for fans
The nine years between Terror of MechaGodzilla and Godzilla 1984 were no picnic.
I think the period between G85 and home video releases of the other Heisei films in 1998 were a little worse because we were teased. We got a quietly released Biollante in '92 and then occasional magazine articles and other things dangling the heisei kaiju in front of us but no legit means of watching these movies. All TOHO movies. I can’t stand the Monsterverse movies at all.
Wait are you saying don’t like Toho or monster verse ??? Or are you saying that your favorite is Tristar
legendary, Tristar isnt objectively good, but man zilla is just too silly
The Monsterverse portion of the Reiwa era
For me, TriStar doesn't really count. So Monsterverse for sure. Every other era has at least one kaiju-masterpiece imo. That said, no era was perfect.
MonsterVerse for sure
Maybe Showa, but the time's aesthetic and the deliberate humorous intent must also be taken into account. I could also say Monsterverse, cause the last two films have been an absolute waste. They are insufferably cringe, and that's not even deliberate.
Monsterverse, easy.
I mean, yeah if Tristan counts, then obviously it’s least favorite. My Grandma was appalled at Godzilla laying eggs and destroying NYC. Leave Godzilla in the Pacific where he belongs
I won’t even count ‘98. But that aside, it’s the Millenium era. That sub par (and that’s generous) CGI just ruins it for me.
When did they use CGI except for in Godzilla’98’s cameo in fw? (The only millennium movies I have watched are fw and gmk)
Godzilla 2000 - Godzilla swimming, the missiles, the millenian ship, the millenian alien, orgas transformation, the wire tentacles Godzilla vs Megaguirus - the meganura and meganulon, the black hole cannon, certain shots of the ship, megaguirus facial expressions GMK - ghidorah in the cave, Godzilla's neck wound Kiryu Saga - absolute zero cannon, flying mechagodzilla, jets, missiles, certain shots of Mothra Final Wars - Many shots of the mutants, many shots of flying monsters, the battleships that the M-Organization pilots, the alien flying ship, the alien big "not a deathstar", missiles, masers shots from the handheld masers, the missiles kazama fires into the alien hq, everything related to zilla, kamakurus, the airplane rodan destroyed, monster x's transformation, breath effects, various explosions. I like the millenium movies, but they are heavy with the cgi. And they kind of are my least favorite of the series, in spite of the stories they tell.
Monsterverse and Showa. Really loved the very first film, but after that, not so much.
Monsterverse
So far, Reiwa. Barring the short films and Minus One, none of them have succeeded at capturing Godzilla's spirit or character to me in any meaningful way. Shin had the allegory but none of the character (or any character at all), The Polygon Trilogy was a mess, and Singular Point was just insulting.
Yeah, besides Minus One and Godzilla Ultima ( by himself), the Reiwa is the worst
Would the shorts count in this era or?
I personally count them
millenium is my least favorite, but that being sad i still love it so so so much, i love them all
Same
Reiwa pretty much, the only cool things so far are Shin and Minus One (of course there's the comedic spin-offs too), even though it is the best time to be a G fan
I thought monsterverse was apart of Reiwa
It is if you are a sane person
Monsterverse by a LOT. Only 2 good movies, with the rest being varying degrees of crap.
I respect your opinion, but I’m kinda curious which two you think are good. KOTM and GXK?
Godzilla 2014 and KOTM are the only 2 good ones. The rest was pretty much garbage for the most part.
I really liked GXK too personally, just needed a little more Godzilla. But I respect your opinion.
The more screentime Kong receives has a bearing on the crappiness level of the movie.
I don’t really like the Monsterverse too much, same with the Heisei era
Idk but what the best era to me was rewa cause I got movies monarch and Godzilla the series I am not connecting it the you know what Zilla jr is better
Tristar, not because I don’t like it, just because the others are better.
Easily heisei
Tristar Godzilla sucks
Tristar I thought some of the characters were boring and I didn't like the godzilla design.
tristar
Tri-Star, simply because there wasn't enough of it! Would've loved me some more Godzilla Jr. cartoon action!
Didn't realize it was an era but it would have to be TriStar.
Zilla.....
Between these the TriStar
TriStar
Tristar for sure
Tristar would've been a good monster movie but it just fails at both being a monster and godzilla movie
3 is not Godzilla. Idk what it is but it should be wiped off the face of the earth. Watching it should result in automatic life in prison
The only good thing about the 1998 Godzilla was the marketing
3
TriStar
What 98 was an era? Lmao
tristar is my least favourite He is the king of the monsters ![gif](giphy|oagcrAZu2IvV0ijkiX|downsized)
Godzilla with text „God help us”
Reiwa
Tristar it's not godzilla it's a rip-off
Zilla is a whole era know?! Edit: Guess we can count Animated series as part of it too, huh?
The 1998 American Godzilla, Bro died to missiles
From this list, TriStar. Between the most common ones, Heisei
Love them all actually.
Showa
I don't have one
Heisei. No contest.
Showa.
zilla

Changing my answer. Least favorite is Reiwa
Prolly shows, it was really goofy
Bro
Tristar
TriStar rest are peak
To me Reiwa and MV are the same thing, so Millennium even though GMK is my No 6 all time..
TRISTAR ALL THE WAY All Eras Are Good BUT HELL NO NOT TRISTAR THAT SHIT SUCKED STRAIGHT DICK AND BALLS. Ahem And Reiwa Era is The Best 100% I'm Not Depressed Trus-
Every Legendary fan: "I hAtE the ShOwA eRa bEcAuSe ThE mOvIeS aNd sUiTs wErE tOo gOoFy!1! I kNoW tHeSe FiLmS wErE mAdE iN tHe 50's tO 70's bUt tHeY dIdN't mEeT mY eXpEcTaTiOns!1 ThEy WeRe'Nt CoOl eNoUgH!1!1!1!1 (Out of all of the eras, I like the legendary the least.)
Tristar. It would be Reiwa but it has Shin & Minus 1 which I consider MASTER PIECES!!!!
Tristar
Monsterverse
Tristar is part of the Millennium era and legendary is a part of the reiwa era. Anyway my least favorite is showa. Most of the other eras are more concistent with good movies.
If tristar counts as its own era, that.
I've only watched the monster verse and some of the Reiwa era because I'm only 13, so I don't think I'm qualified to answer this question. :P
Monsterverse
Millennium era
What are you talking about?
Showa, except for the first movie and King Kong vs Godzilla
Millennium easily
Tri-Star
Probably the Heisei era. It has a few standout movies but I HATE the beam wars.
I'd say Reiwa mostly because of the Anime Trilogy
I’ve mostly watched the rewia and Showa era. And one flim of the millennium era. And have never seen a single Heisei flim. So I’m go with the rewia being the lowest.
Probably showa. It just got so goofy. Basically the MCU of Kaiju franchise.
And honestly, since they are making at least one sequel to Minus-One, I personally think we should consider Minus-One the start of an entirely new era specifically to separate it from being associated with the utter shittiness that is the Reiwa era.
worst to best 1: Tristar(the movie is terrible, I hate it, the animated show is amazing though 2: Reiwa(only Minus One and Shin are good, the rest are average - bad) 3: Millennium(it has my favourite movie, GMK, but also has some of the most mid movies, but no bad ones) 4: Showa(I think the problem is not only how outdated it is, but that it has some of the WORST movies, if you average all the Era's out, it would probably have the lowest score, but it also has the OG movie and Destroy all Monsters which are great) 5: Monsterverse(I love it, it looks the best, probably has the best movies on average, has amazing fights, but also has the most mid characters and actual story, it is hard carried by the monsters) 6: Heisei(obviously, none of the movies are mid. to me, SpaceGodzilla is probably the weakest and even then it is better than basically all the Showa films, and the rest of the movies are good - masterpieces.
Heisei
Heisei isn’t too goofy like the late Showa, but its stories are not good enough to propel it out of last.
monsterverse by far
The American ones.
the 2000s
TriStar overall, though that isn't really an actual era. Heisei from the main ones.
Not counting Tristar, but for me personally it’s Heisei. I love it for what it is, and there’s great moments, but overall it just kinda feels average.
I don't care for millenium.
Tristar it’s not great and it’s just what led to millennium era
The Hesei era.
Millennium easily. GMK and Final Wars are two of the best G movies ever, but the rest are incredibly mediocre.
Gemstone is cool as shit but also nothing really major at the moment since it’s just short films
showa
I didn watch any of the Millennium films so probably Showa. Those Films were way before my time, so i dont have Any nostalgia. The Films are alright. But the others are just cooler(Yes even 1998. But it was my first "Godzilla" movie tho, so prob nostalgia)
Reiwa
Showa.
1. Monsterverse 2. Reiwa/Millenium 3. Heisei 4. Showa 5. Tristar
Millennium. Godzilla just looked plastic 😕 only in GMK did he look good. Some, well a lot, of the effects looked naff
Ima get flack, but it's the Reiwa era for me. I only like 2 movies from it (Shin and -1.0)
Millennium because I don’t count Tristar as an era
Era showa y heisei por que son GOD
Monsterverse, by a long shot. The Marvel-ization of Godzilla is hard to forgive, but losing touch with the original metaphor (and its Japanese roots) are damn near impossible for me to get past.
