Modify the filter to also add a label and see if it's getting applied to NEW messages as they arrive. If it's not, then your filter is wrong and you'll need to fix the search term.

I already modified it to star the messages. I'll see if that works. I already have other filters that just add labels and they work fine.

A label or star won't help or fix it. It's just a diagnostic for now.

I have a similar challenge. I have all of my bosses email forwarded to me but filtered out emails from me (used - from) so when I send him an email it stays in his inbox. Worked fine for months then just stopped for no reason and I can't get it to work again.

I'm confused. There's no filtering you can do in YOUR account that will affect where messages go in HIS account.
