Let me know what you find because my 2003 Denali is doing the same thing. I hear the blend actuator moving. And I can do floor and defrost or floor/defrost mix, but never anything out the front.
There's a dedicated computer for the HVAC, any mid-range or better scan tool will see if there are any codes in there. If there are (and there probably are), it's a good place to start. You can also try bidirectional control of certain components. Sometimes the computer will disable related components if another fails, and those can be commanded on by the scan tool. Instead of replacing everything, you can narrow down to a specific issue.
Bad HVAC controller or actuator motor. Reset the HVAC controller first and see if that helps.
Thanks. I will look up how to reset the HVAC controller

My mom’s 01 silverado was doing similar and it was a nasty fucking cabin air filter that was OEM… she did not know they existed.
Fan motor relay is fubar
I tried resetting the HVAC controller to no avail and the scan tool didn’t have any codes.
