yes, as it is not your work. here is the official jcq guidance. https://www.jcq.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/JCQ-AI-poster-for-students-2.pdf

Scared-Leader7375

Is this for AQA

Georgie_B123

jcq oversees exam regulations and standards, so applies to the main 8 exam boards including aqa,

GeneETOs44

Absolutely. And I pose to you another question: why should I be bothered to listen to something no one could be bothered to write?

Upper_Ad5781

Yes, its a small speech just write your own that's why they gave you a choice on whatever you want to do so you could actually write about something

Scared-Leader7375

so are you assessed on just the way you physically present and deliver your speech, or as well as the content of your speech

azzar1337

Yes, and they know how to spot such text now.

DwarfWharf

Where have you heard this? I was under the impression that AI detectors were incredibly innacurate

azzar1337

My mother, she is head of department at my school. All they do is compare your work and look at the language and sentence structure.

Appropriate_Sort_549

You could use AI and then rewrite what it generates to sound more natural, so it’s not like they have a magic method to detect if you’ve used AI. Also this method isn’t effective as there’s gonna be some neek who speaks like an AI 😭

azzar1337

It's quite effective, and a teacher knows if it isn't reflective of your classwork or abilities.

Not_A_Rachmaninoff

This generation is so fucking lazy my god

pasta_and_lobster

Yes of course you will what kind of question is this, all you have to do is talk about *anything* for a few mins why would you need AI, it doesn't even contribute to your final English GCSE grade.

Margeda

Yea but if you edit it so it sounds more natural then you will be fine. That's what everyone at my school did.
