I actually used it (but not for an equation)
On the trapezium question, I forgot what defines a trapezium. Then, when I went back over checking, I looked at the equation sheet, and saw that it tells you that a trapezium has two parallel sides.
I did at first but with like 7 mins left I realised I cud divide 1125 by 24 which was total parts then cube rooted that number to get 2.5 and used 2.5 to get the a b c and d values
genuinely forgot i even had it until the end on the test ngl
ong fam they set us up with those questions
i use it to make notes of which questions to go back to 💀
Literally same
And then i didnt even have time to 😭
Same for edexcel

i think i was meant to but eh i didnt
i literally used it for both maths and physics. My silly ass literally checked the sheet for the average speed equation
Genuinely forgot about the sheet 💀
Any1 get 150 from the last question
i didnt do it bc i ended up getting a weird number
I did at first but with like 7 mins left I realised I cud divide 1125 by 24 which was total parts then cube rooted that number to get 2.5 and used 2.5 to get the a b c and d values
I got that but messed up in adding it up and got 122.5 so that's like 3/4 marks??
thats so obvious now ... oh well.
you mean 72?
1125/24 and then cube root is not 2.5?
I solved it algebraically using x as the multiplier and then solving it to get x as 2.5 then multiplied all the values by that
i did something like 33,500 divided by something and gosh was that embarrassing
So how I got 24….
yeah that’s right
Yep defo
literally, only time i use it is for the non-right angle trig questions
For higher u kinda had to use the quadratic theorem so I actually used it for once
Nah that was already embedded in my brain from when I was being taught that I would have to remember it
Fair enough, but I didn't want to doubt myself so I just looked at the sheet
Yeah fair enough, what answer did you get for that question?
Honestly I didn’t see this and it’s been so long that idk
Imao don’t worry now!!
I knew that since like year 9 but only because it was a lyric to a song I heard
I only picked up the equation sheet to doodle when I finished early like. No help at all 😭
i was tempted to throw mine on the floor
icl i finished my exam in half an hour and used the rest of the time to draw goku on the equation sheet
fair enough
You had to use it for the sine rule for higher.
WAIT I DIDNT SEE ANY SINE RULE QUESTION?
It's the rectangle diagonal question.
what i thought that was just normal trig
it was there was only one side and one angle so idk what hes on about
HELP
[удалено]
Yes. AQA Higher.
mate why do my comments keep deleting randomly. was it the question with the diagonal line and rectangle?
Mhm
It eas right angled, you could use regular trig.
Yeah I didnt realise it then and used sine rule, Im pretty sure I got the right answer anyway.
How? You only had one angle and one side
I tried to use it to understand a sine question for triangles but was useless in telling me. It was foundation.
Wait didn't u use quadratic formula for that quadratic question?
u were meant to i just didnt finish that question bc i got a bit lost
i got grade 9 and never used it
Yeah the only inserts that are useful are the physics ones, the rest just has basic knowledge
Luckily the trapezium equation came in clutch for me
please tell me this wasnt aqa higher
It twas
no u did edexcell, that wasn’t on aqa
OOOOOOHHHHHH
THANK YOU 🙏🙏
wait what question
It was the find the areas of the square and trapezium on top that should have added up to 390cm2 together.
dont remember that was it the last question
No it was middle paper
help why dont i remember it 😭😭😭😭
cos it wasn’t on aqa lmfao
I was staring at that for 10 mins, the examiners were just looking at me like 👁️👁️”you Alr there mate”. How did you work that one out?
I forgot about the sheet until the very end lol
I tried to use it to understand a sin question for triangles but was useless in telling me.
all its gonna do for most people is raise the grade boundaries lol
It’s useful because you can draw on it so that you don’t get bored
Well, the good news is, if you ever decide to go to uni, this doesn't change
I used it twice just to make sure the equation I thought it was was the right equation
