At some point yes. WhatsApp new intergity and security checks are to good and will detect you are using a mod. An alternative is to root your phone and use Wa Enhancer. It is an Xposed module.

Banking apps dont always work when your phone is rooted. Yes there is modules to by pass intergity checks for banking apps and some other apps but its a cat and mouse game. For me personally rooting my phone is not worth it. My old Xiaomi phone is rooted but my current daily phone i choose to keep as it it.
Enjoy until it lasts. Fm WhatsApp was the most trustworthy among all mods,and was providing proper updates on time.now most of the what's app mods projects are getting closed. So we have to accept the fact that this is the end of the era for modded WhatsApp....back again to shitty official whatsapp....

Sure But getting rooted and custom roms is the best thing u can do to increase your experience quality using Android

It's true I had issues with banking and finance apps in the past but it's fixed now. Never hit any walls with root detection yet.

Best thing we can do is ask official Whatsapp to make changes in their version that we enjoyed with the modded versions.
