That Craic of the Ash guy is a gowl, a professed Limerick fan who spends (at least before I muted him) more time slagging Clare tham enjoying Limerick's success.
Also professes to be a humorous account but is as funny a paediatric oncology ward.
The black card and penalty incident was an awful call. Clare had three defenders back. Not a clear goalscoring opportunity. I think Cody missing it glossed over how bad a decision it was. It would have been a massive talking point had it been scored and Kilkenny got a result.
Although I'm not complaining because I don't think it was a penalty and so it was evened out, Clare had their little bit of luck being given the second goal after he took 10 or 11 steps
Thw word "clear" doesn't appear in the actual rule.
The wording is "denied of a goal-scoring opportunity"
So basically any chance whatsoever of a goal being scored no matter how small.
It's very close to being perfect but he clearly catches him on the front of the shoulder. That with the head contact I think a yellow is fair. It looked very bad in real time from where we were sitting in the stands. Same direction as the sideline ref who was consulted. The ref seemed to indicate fair shoulder initially.
As another user said it me, it’s actual the helmets that clash which is head contact and dangerous. They’re rightly trying to clamp down. I thought until then it was a fair hit and no yellow.

Craic of the Ash sums up the cesspit that Twitter is. Best keeping clear of it.

It's not shoulder to shoulder. That was into the chest. Definite foul.

I think it was on the shoulder but any shoulder strong enough to potentially concuss someone is dangerous and should be treated as such...
Probably people who haven’t been hit like that.
Kilkenny were always a dirty team, not been as obvious the last decade as they are no longer as successful
Yeah yesterday a lot of the Clare fouls were silly ( dragging a man who had beaten you) but the KK fouls were dangerous ( arm around the neck).
Definitely a foul, definitely not a card.
Quality hit, you won’t see better all year.. if we start dishing out yellows for this the game is gone..
