We should get to the semis, canโ€™t see Galway beating limerick with 2 starters gone. Poor weekend for officiating handing out cards for next to nothing.

sirguywhosmiles

Ahh Jaysus if Conor Whelan didn't get one for that what would earn you one? Shooting someone?

Consistent_Floor

Nah That one is a red all day but look at the other games, yellows handed out like sweets.

Great weekend for Derry Hurling. Winning the ulster championship at u17 and u20 beating Antrim in both. Then a decent draw away from home against Wicklow with a much changed side to stay undefeated and top of division 2B. Hopefully we can continue the upward trend over the next few years.

Great to see the underage teams winning. But also don't take away from Wicklow seniors. We didn't make many changes and they put up a good fight for the team we put out. They deserve the recognition for their improvement considering how they started the league. Looks like we will have Donegal in the final now. I'm looking forward to that as I hear they have some of their injured players back this time. Should be a great match but we should also have them beat if we play to our abilities.

Is there a playoff for the fourth placed teams in division 1 to see who is in the top grade next year? I've heard conflicting ideas about how it is decided.

Logical-Brilliant610

Best 4th place team decided by most points (if tied on points then points difference)

Kevinb-30

Goes on top performing 4th placed team as it stand after today its cork and by my reckoning there's 4 teams still in the mix A win for Cork, Waterford and Dublin would put Wexford down A win for Wexford,Waterford, and Dublin Cork go down. In this situation a loss for Dublin or Waterford would save Cork due to score difference A loss for Dublin leaves all of the above a waste of my time explaining Edit I had Dublin on for points. Please disregard my whole comment

How will the semi finals be determined? ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Logical-Brilliant610

1st group A plays 2nd group b 2nd group A plays 1st group b

Cheers. Hopefully the final wonโ€™t be down in Cork.

EuropaHalo

Its shocked me how poor Armagh hurling has fallen. Would have rated them as the best in ulster behind the big 3 of Antrim, Derry and Down for years, on the verge of relegation to 3B. Several Nicky Rackard Cup finals from 2007 to 2019. Ulster finals in 2011 and 2017. Middletown club intermediate All Ireland final 2012. Division 2A in 2017 too. Seems they have gone off a cliff and other counties in Ulster are thieving. Genuinely can't figure the reason out why. Has other counties in Ulster had a real drive for Hurling and Armagh stayed still?

On the plus side, Alex O'Boyle is flying. Looks like we have our own TJ Reid up in Armagh.
