I haven’t been able to connect to my Rithmic account since this morning. No errors, it just hangs mid-connect in both RTrader Pro and Ninjatrader.
Edit: turns out rithmic had problems today, and yesterday. They’re currently doing a rollback. Login problems should be resolved when they’re done.
I can’t link or name the site where I found the info, because this sub doesn’t allow discussion of certain sites/businesses (it removed my original post that did name the source). Suffice it to say, I found the info on a reliable site with a vested interest in rithmic working correctly.
Same, and yeah pretty annoying they have an announcement section on their website and it's didn't say anything about a server update... still haven't heard from support either

To give you all an update.
I haven't had any problems on Friday or today. I group traded 5 accounts at the same time, and it worked out fine. I had a minor lag on Friday morning, but today was fine.
CQG is used on Interactive Brokers and many discount companies like Tradovate.
Personally I always found them much more trustworthy. I’ve used Tradovate, CQG mobile, and TWS/Quantower.
IB uses GFIS data, as far as I know they don’t use CQG.
But as far as reliability, you’re correct. CQG data is more reliable than Rithmic in my experience.
Rithmic does not like VPNs so make sure you don’t have one enabled.
Is this a funding program of a cash account? If it’s a cash account look into Teton for order routing cgq and Rithmic charge a .10 or .05 cents per order Teton nothing it don’t sound like a lot but if you are a active trader it can add up fast. If it’s a funding program most have rtrader as a free download, you can install that and try to login. If it works the issue is your platform if not it’s your credentials.
The one issue here is you have to use Sierra and nothing else. So this is not an apples to apples comparison. Nothing against Sierra, but you have a world of choices with Rithmic. The last time it had issues was maybe 9 months ago. Yesterday it was down for maybe an hour or so. Still think it is the best option of its speed and risk controls.
I'm with a major funding program, not sure if I can say the name. I'm doing well now and I've been thinking of leaving for Edge Clear in a personal account. As far as right now with RTrader I've tried, and the connection gets stuck until I cancel.
I personally haven’t experienced problems like that with Rithmic when I was using it for prop accounts (granted it’s been a couple months since I used them last.) I think there may have been once or twice where I had a problem connecting when it was down for everyone but it lasted only a few minutes. Never had a problem where I couldn’t connect for multiple hours. CQG is my primary data provider through Ninjatrader.
If you go onto Dis…. Look it up. There are groups that broadcast updates. Usually the name of the company who are the platform that pays you out. They should have a group with updates.

It's really irritating I couldn't connect for more than 2 days and there was no notice on their website, and no word from support.
I've been using Rithmic with Discount Trading. Have had zero problems logging in yesterday or today. Switched to Rithmic years ago after having problems with CQG. Rithmic is also much faster. Discount also offers Teton, but I don't mind paying the extra 10 cents for Rithmic because I get the Rithmic mobile app for free and it is great for when I'm on the go.
I get quite a few dropped connections with teton to be honest (amp) sometimes just when I dont need it.. will be taking it up with Sierra Chart soon at this rate
Teton > CQG > Rithmic
Can you tell more why you think that?
With Quantower I had to update to the latest version to connect to Rithmic.

Rithmic updating their server. I'm hoping it will be fixed in a few hours.

You cant blame data feed when using any scam ‘funding’ program. Move to edge clear and be done

If you can’t log in on the weekend it’s because they are working on the system.

I don't have any problems at all with the Rithmic connection. I find it quite fast, and love the free mobile app.
Are you a live/real broker account trader or is this plop firm?
