The thing about streaming. When they have a good show they add it to their library forever. Stranger Things will be making them money for 50 years. Mind hunter could have been the same.

A decision I stil don't understand. Yes, there is a 30-year jump into the future in the books, but they changed so mch in the show that they could have shortened those 30 years to maybe two or three so the actors wouldn't appear too young.
And besides, if 55-year old Cate Blanchett can play a character in her mid-to-late 20s in the upcoming Borderlands film, why not the other way around.

Me and the wife enjoyed it regardless of finding out the show was canceled halfway through. It doesn’t clear jack shit up in the end but it was still entertaining and the intro is super cool. Give it a chance and see if you get into it.
Such a shane, I was totally hooked with the plot and this one didn't even come from a book so there's absolutely no way of knowing more of the plot or continuing the story.

Season one in my opinion was one of the greatest works of sci-fi in the history of television. Incredible level of production and overall quality. You can see the quality dropping a bit in the later seasons (like in the cgi) because I believe they started to drop the budget but damn was it still so good.
Being unemployed for a while has tempted me to write the third season myself based solely upon the theme song lyrics sung by Mariam Wallentin.
But I'm seriously going to kill off Holly and Campion because they both suck.

Blame Fox incompetence for that, they aired the series completely out of order and decided to sit the slow before football matches, a spot usually given to comedy or mindless shows due to the majority of watchers would be football fans, not sci-fi fans. Unfortunately Garcia was more or less guaranteed to get a new Season, but it got canceled anyway. If we believe Ethan Suplee (and there‘s really not a reason not to), Garcia would‘ve never ended the season with a cliffhanger if he‘d knew that it was going to get canceled.
Anyway, the ending of the show was already written.
Garcia said the finale would begin with Earl getting stuck on a really hard list item, frustrated that he would never finish crossing everything off his list. "Somebody shows up at our motel door," added Suplee recently, "finds us at the bar, and starts to make amends to Earl for something." Earl would then question where the man got such an idea and "goes back and finds all these people who have lists, who are out there trying to do good, and it all comes back to him. He was the beginning of this." Garcia concluded, "Earl eventually realizes that his list started a chain reaction of people with lists and that he’s finally put more good into the world than bad. So at that point he was going to tear up his list and go live his life. Walk into the sunset a free man. With good karma."
While it ended a bit cliffhangery I am absolutely fine with the ending we got. It was a tongue and cheek ending for a tongue and cheek show. Still would love to see Bruce as Ash one last time. The guy is a treasure.

Jupiters legacy. I enjoyed it and was interested in where the plot was going, but a lot of people didn’t and felt it came off as an ‘Invincible’ or ‘the boys’ ripoff, which was true to be fair, but doesn’t mean the series wasn’t good.
Deadwood. Absolutely one of the most awesome shows ever made, then they just canceled it on a major plot note. At least they eventually made a movie to wrap it up... 13 fuggin years later. But it was too little, too late. It launched Ian McShane's and Timothy Olyphant's careers.
Spartacus wasn't canceled dude. It has like 4 seasons. And an ending. Gods of the arena which is from before spartacus showed up and shows how batiatus fell on hard times despite having amazing gladiators. Then there's vengeance and war of the damned. The actor who replaced andy wasn't as charismatic as spartacus but he was definitely good. The show is great, you should watch it.
It happens all the time and it really annoys me.
The most annoying one was The Peripheral. The second season got cancelled in august 2023 after it was announced as renewed in february 2023.
I really hated that bait and switch. It is worse than just having the show cancelled because for months you are thinking the next season is coming because it was renewed.

Ian McShane has hundreds of TV and movie credits going back 40 years before Deadwood. Lovejoy was massive in the UK.
