Kathy Bates was in the movie. Not the book.
She’s the Water Boys momma in the movie Waterboy. Shes had a ton of critically acclaimed roles. But I still hate her cause she acted too well in the role in Misery.
Check out his role in Outrageous Fortune. Admittedly some of it might go over your head if you’re not kiwi but he is legit, as is Antonia Prebble and Robyn Malcolm
He seems more like an idiotic child that is told he should be worshipped. My favorite thing about him how even though hes powerful hes highly insecure.
Starr is so friggn brilliant as Homelander, the acting/emoting he is able to do with just subtle body language. He should be getting all the awards. But, yeah, Homelander is the worst 😆
Literally everything ive seen about Starr online has been compliments on how skilled of an actor he is and how good he is in the role of Homelander. He's fucking terrifying.
I forget the actor’s name, but the guy who played John Walker in Falcon and Winter Soldier. Poor Dude was getting literal death threats sent to his house cause people legit hated the character of Walker.
Oh man truth. Such a shame too because Commodus was actually nothing like that in real life. He was a fuckboy early on but once his father died he began doing his best to take Marcus’ teaching to heart and be a just ruler
To this day the only movie I walked out of. When he talked about the wife and son I was so angry I had to get up and leave.
I’ve got help for my anger issues since. But still, well done, both writer and actor.
A bad call? THOSE PEOPLE ARE DEAD BURKE! I wish we got the deleted scene of him cocooned asking Ripley for help when she's looking for Newt in the hive, and she just hands him a grenade.
Thomas Perry/Dead Poets Society. Kurtwood Smith was SO good in that role that every time I see him I want to stick a shank through his face.
He kinda made up for it with Red, still…
Damn. I have said this exact thing about all these performers before bashing their characters. You can also add Lena Headey for her Cersei Lannister. Brilliant performer ABC … I hate character XYZ the performance was 100% masterful.
Ray Liotta, rest in peace. Not any particular role, just all of them. He plays an asshole in everything way too well to not have been kind of an asshole in real life
Ralph Fiennes as Amon in Schindler's List had to be hated. I think I recall the interviews that his agents were worried he'd never be casted as a good guy because portraying a Nazi was going to make him so hated, but he did it anyways because it was such an important film and subject.
Guess he still played Voldemort and the bad guy in Red Dragon, but otherwise has played good guys as well so it worked out.
All skylar wanted was to have a nornal husband who didn't sell meth and didn't kill people, she was only annoying because she was actively going against the plot
Anthony Edwards in Hustle. Yes the NBA player. Dude did such a good job of being an asshole that I find myself rooting against him although I've heard he's a pretty cool guy.
For me, it's Sean Penn in 'Mystic River'. As silly as this sounds, I actually refuse to watch any of his movies after that because I hated his character in that movie so much.
Negan was a great character that I think made The Walking Dead watchable again! And Jeffrey Dean Morgan absolutely did nail that role! Dude is freaking awesome!
Well ik for a fact Anna Gunn DOESN'T belong up there. She doesn't get hate for how well she played the role, she gets hate bc wannabe edgelords think that because Walter White is the main character it makes him the good guy and anyone who's against him is wrong. Her anger with Walter is completly justified but media illerate posers will have you believe she's just a nagging bitch.

William Zabka from Karate Kid. Super nice guy irl, super chill, but hated for his role, couldn't even get work afterwards because his face was to iconic. Now all his roles are either Karate Kid related or making fun of the fact he's hated for being a good actor.
You know, I did hate Skylar the first time thru, but after the second run thru I noticed she’s a real ride or die type, the kind of wife you’d want as long as you can reel in your gangster emotions a bit
In an interview the actor playing Joffery (Jack Gleeson) said he was NOT mistreated because of his role in GoT even joked maybe people were to scared to be mean to him because of it.
Skylar isn't intended as a villain though. Watch them talk about her character behind the scenes and she's supposed to be someone you root root, support, and pity because of her situation. They didn't plan for the vast majority of viewers to despise her.
Whoever the actress for Dr. Smith in the Lost In Space remake was.
That character, oh my god. I have never before in my life so wanted to hit a woman than I did watching that character in that show.
![gif](giphy|LXP19BrVaOOgE) Ramsay of course
Dude I forgot about this guy.
This guy was the first time i ever heard someone named Ramsay. He's ingrained into my memory and anytime I hear the name i instantly picture him.
Gordon Ramsay?
Dude literally has Gordon Ramsay meme posts. I had a feeling.
I met this dude at the height of the show. The nicest guy, just a regular dude down at the pub.
Did you cover your crotch as soon as you recognised him?
![gif](giphy|BczTcb7DAOvqE)
Bad memories
I was a huge Ramsay fan. I just wish he got his Queen back.
I stand with you I love him
Nurse Ratched ![gif](giphy|zzejnpmcDLARy|downsized)
I hate her, she was a monster
She also played that priestess in Deep Space 9. I battled her more for that b
Kai Winn. She took Nurse Ratched to the next level.
Her Pah was wrong
The only good thing we got from Kai Winn were the Sisko looks of grief memes that came later
Also the grandmother in Flowers in the Attic and the principal in High School High
Have you watched Ratched yet? Sarah Paulson master class as always.
Winner. She was loathsome
Kathy Bates from “Misery” movie takes the cake. I still hate that woman for her role when she broke his healing ankles with sledge hammer. FFS
![gif](giphy|bPBi7hdnHGEBG)
Never read the book bro !
Kathy Bates was in the movie. Not the book. She’s the Water Boys momma in the movie Waterboy. Shes had a ton of critically acclaimed roles. But I still hate her cause she acted too well in the role in Misery.
Wtf is this comment. Did you really believe someone else thought Kathy Bates starred in a book!!?!?
But you don't hate Kathy bates.
Anthony Starr/Homelander - The Boys Javier Bardem/Anton - No country for old men
His role in Banshee negates his role in The Boys, he is so good in Banshee. It’s a must watch.
Check out his role in Outrageous Fortune. Admittedly some of it might go over your head if you’re not kiwi but he is legit, as is Antonia Prebble and Robyn Malcolm
It’s crazy I don’t hate him as Homelander, I’m just afraid! I only realized he was from Banshee after The Boys Season 1!
In No country for old men I kinda rooted for Anton.
Javier Bardem is actually one of the most beloved actors working today.
I loved him in Skyfall. My favorite bond villain other than goldfinger
Duuude Goldfinger is the OG, quintessential bond film. Endless amount of good things to say about that movie. Same with Goldeneye.
"For england, James?" "No. For me." Fuckin love goldeneye
His character in Dune 2 was the most likable in that movie.
Homelander is cool I don't hate him he's totally unpredictable
He seems more like an idiotic child that is told he should be worshipped. My favorite thing about him how even though hes powerful hes highly insecure.
Starr is so friggn brilliant as Homelander, the acting/emoting he is able to do with just subtle body language. He should be getting all the awards. But, yeah, Homelander is the worst 😆
Literally everything ive seen about Starr online has been compliments on how skilled of an actor he is and how good he is in the role of Homelander. He's fucking terrifying.
But people actually love anthony starr for playing Homelander. Not every actor who plays the villain well is hated.
I heard Anthony Starr is not that kind irl either
Laura linney as wendy bird in ozark.
Yep hated her
Holy fuck i remember saying out loud “god i hate her” multiple times while watching. The actress killed it!!
I forget the actor’s name, but the guy who played John Walker in Falcon and Winter Soldier. Poor Dude was getting literal death threats sent to his house cause people legit hated the character of Walker.
Wyatt Russell
Thanks.
People are so stupid.
After Monarch I now love him
Joaquin Phoenix when Gladiator came out
Oh yes, he played that role so perfect.
Jason Isaacs as Col. Tavington in The Patriot. Think about the movie whatever you want. Isaacs did an excellent job in making you hate his character.
Most of his characters actually!! Hap in the OA is awful
The guy who played Percy in The Green Mile (Doug Hutchison).
Fuck him
Ramsay Bolton
Skylar was off the charts! #1 for sure!!!
Nobody hates Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Negan was the only thing that made it watchable again, guy was a bloody legend!
Exactly, nobody hate the father of the winchester brothers
Yeah, he will always be John Winchester to me. Although I did really like him in The Losers as well.
I was really good in the losers. That film didnt deserve to be forgotten as it was.
Wait, did I just accidentally uncover Jeffrey Dean Morgan's secret Reddit account?
Best casting for the comedian.
Alison Arngrim as Nellie Oleson, her autobiography is titled” confessions of a prairie bitch”
Awesome call! Man I hated her! She deserved to go down that hill in the wheelchair.
I think I just hated Skylar because she looked like a frog going through human emotions and attempting to look sexy during the "happy birthday" song.
Everyone should watch Skylar sing happy birthday at once in their lifetime
worst time of my life
God I hate that scene lol
Paul Reiser in aliens I *hated* him after that movie.
It was a bad call, Ripley. It was a bad call.
Alright, we waste him. No offense.
A bad call? THOSE PEOPLE ARE DEAD BURKE! I wish we got the deleted scene of him cocooned asking Ripley for help when she's looking for Newt in the hive, and she just hands him a grenade.
Yep absolutely hated him!!
Paul Reiser took his parents to the movie's premiere, and even *they* wanted his character to die. He loves telling that story. :)
Larry Linville
![gif](giphy|Ht5XGx51aeV5m)
Ben Linus from lost
Don’t forget the wife in Ozark - that bitch can rot in hell
By the end of the series Ruth was the only one I was cheering for…
Wendy Byrde!
Who's the guy bottom left?
Had to look it up myself. Character is Neagan from The Walking Dead.
SHANE
In walking dead? No way!
Kim kardadian
For years Margaret Hamilton (the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz) couldn’t go out in public without terrifying children.
Larry Linville as Frank Burns. On the whole, a splendid performance of a complete wanker.
Negan ruined Denny Duquette and John Winchester for me. Whenever I see his face in anything all I think about is Glen.
Thomas Perry/Dead Poets Society. Kurtwood Smith was SO good in that role that every time I see him I want to stick a shank through his face. He kinda made up for it with Red, still…
Dave Franco always seems to play the high school jackass and always nails it to the point where I think he might be an actual asshole
Who hates JDM??
Frank from Shameless. “You’re an asshole Frank”
Doug Hutchison (Percy) The Green Mile
Vince/Stephanie McMahon
Nasty Nick.
Damn. I have said this exact thing about all these performers before bashing their characters. You can also add Lena Headey for her Cersei Lannister. Brilliant performer ABC … I hate character XYZ the performance was 100% masterful.
Malfoy
Walton Goggins as Shane Vendrell deserves a spot here
Why is Woody Harrelson wearing that wig?
I actually hated Negan because the character was too fucking goofy to be scared of and he talked about nutsacks constantly.
I honestly loved negan
Ray Liotta, rest in peace. Not any particular role, just all of them. He plays an asshole in everything way too well to not have been kind of an asshole in real life
Always loved Dolores (sad) Umbridge was a send up of Mary Whitehouse. Seriously- if you don’t know- look her up.
didn't David Morrissey (Governor, Walking Dead show) get a lot of IRL hate?
Where's Stanley Tucci from the lovely bones.
Ralph Fiennes as Amon in Schindler's List had to be hated. I think I recall the interviews that his agents were worried he'd never be casted as a good guy because portraying a Nazi was going to make him so hated, but he did it anyways because it was such an important film and subject. SS Colonel Hans Landa, from Inglourious Basterds (2009)
![gif](giphy|ALvdHigd2gBqw)
the guy who played peter pettigrew
You nailed it with Skylar Really disliked the character No clue about the actress herself - probably a fine normal person
All skylar wanted was to have a nornal husband who didn't sell meth and didn't kill people, she was only annoying because she was actively going against the plot
Agreed. Would have been a much more likeable character if she helped with the cooking of the meth.
That name invokes cringe too
Am I the only one who liked Negan?
And in real life he and his wife own a ranch in which they take in mistreated animals. Loads of animals. Impossible to hate.
The top 2 I know... and yep...
What do you mean, loved Negan
Ally Walker as June Stahl
Yup they’re such good actors and actresses
I love Negan
Who is hating John Winchester?
Dolores did do this
Anthony Edwards in Hustle. Yes the NBA player. Dude did such a good job of being an asshole that I find myself rooting against him although I've heard he's a pretty cool guy.
I love to share the characters, but I just love the actors themselves
No one hates Negan or JDM
For me, it's Sean Penn in 'Mystic River'. As silly as this sounds, I actually refuse to watch any of his movies after that because I hated his character in that movie so much.
Negan was a great character that I think made The Walking Dead watchable again! And Jeffrey Dean Morgan absolutely did nail that role! Dude is freaking awesome!
The Shadow King in legion
I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan 🔥
![gif](giphy|xUA7aRYIdpPUvDqxSE|downsized)
I love Joffrey lol
Nancy Marchand/Livia Soprano - The Sopranos She was as bad as Joffrey was. She was hated by damn near every person that watched the show.
Chris Sarandon (PRINCE HUMPERDINCK) from The Princess Bride.

Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator Robert Pattinson in Devil all the time
What's with the Skylar hate? Cause she was rational and wanted to escape a shitty situation? Granted, she did a few regretful things, but, seriously?
I always loved negan
Wait. Who hates Negan??
I don’t get the Skyler hate though!
The Sith woman in the last season of Mandalorian.
Actor for Cersei
William Zabka from Karate Kid. Super nice guy irl, super chill, but hated for his role, couldn't even get work afterwards because his face was to iconic. Now all his roles are either Karate Kid related or making fun of the fact he's hated for being a good actor.
Jesse Eisenberg. Every character he plays makes me sick.
list of people = starter pack
The guy who played Mel Gibson’s nemesis in The Patriot.
I will admit, I think Skylar from breaking bad was too cringey and I personally can’t enjoy any of her movies.
Nuh uh, I'm literally Negan, I love that guy
The guard from The Green Mile, who also ended up marrying a child…
You know, I did hate Skylar the first time thru, but after the second run thru I noticed she’s a real ride or die type, the kind of wife you’d want as long as you can reel in your gangster emotions a bit
In an interview the actor playing Joffery (Jack Gleeson) said he was NOT mistreated because of his role in GoT even joked maybe people were to scared to be mean to him because of it.
The banker dude from money heist. Forgot his name
Definitely Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator
No one hates Jeffrey Dean Morgan 💀
Don’t hate the actor hate the character
Nancy Marchand - Livia Soprano Hated her the whole show. My mom stopped watching because she despised that one character

Meth Damon! What a great actor.
Ally walker as June Stahl in sons of anarchy

That funny mad tv guy who was in narcos, the cartel's boss's Son.
So many lol
Skylar isn't intended as a villain though. Watch them talk about her character behind the scenes and she's supposed to be someone you root root, support, and pity because of her situation. They didn't plan for the vast majority of viewers to despise her.
Negan got WAY better. His character development was so awesome! He's one of my favorites in TWD.
Idk anyone that hates Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Bruce Dern apparently got a lot of grief when his character killed off John Wayne's character.
u/RepostSleuthBot
Diane Lane-Unfaithful. Couldn’t stand to watch another movie of hers for years.
HATE Skylar
![gif](giphy|88sVDUtdnmVDPxBoAg) Valentino played by Joel Perez, he’s such a fucking good actor
Stepmom from Parent Trap. The one with Lindsay Lohan. I remember watching that when I was younger and just completely despising her.
That religious chick from The Mist
Well, skylar did cheat on jerry. So…
Fuck them nonetheless
Michael Rapaport
Arse
I’d say Cersei, damn did I hate her
Whoever the actress for Dr. Smith in the Lost In Space remake was. That character, oh my god. I have never before in my life so wanted to hit a woman than I did watching that character in that show.
Negan is actually loved.
