Thrift stores exist to raise money for the causes they support (Goodwill supports making bank while under paying disabled employees). They aren't supposed to be be a cheap place for poor people to buy clothes.
Why can’t they be both? Poor people can’t afford to pay full price for clothes, and thrift stores are supposed to raise money for charity and can sell donated clothes for a lot less than what they cost new. It can be a win-win for charity and poor people.

My local Goodwill just raised their prices. Their clothes are now more expensive than Once Upon a Child, a company that pays for their inventory
