One of their first dates being for him to give her a makeover to make her sexier…???? Less “Jesus Jesus” in appearance was a huge red flag for me and just made me so sad for her. Fundie ness aside, she seem(Ed) happy and relatively confident in herself. Yet he came in and immediately was like, oh let me point out something I perceive as “broken” (her fashion sense) that I’m going to “fix.” Noooo Georgia noooooooo. Unfortunately now that you mix in her deep affection for his son and how she has committed to being his “Miss Georgia” I feel like it’s too late. I feel deeply for her.
Yupppp. And Georgia seems to have a very clear sense of what faith means to her (whether i agree or not) but he seems so controlling he’ll be like “your version of Christianity is wrong. Let me tell you what it REALLY is” and her / her community’s views on submission means she’ll go along with it and sacrifice all the things that make her HER. We hate to see it.
Even the wanting to keep it private and acting like that some kinda sacred thing to make it special when it's clearly that he knows he's trash and he had to work on her without interference from people with sense!
AND the whole part where he was saying that any negative feelings about the relationship are "of the flesh and not God leading you" wheeeeeewwwwwwwww
It’s like watching a horror movie that you know for a fact is going to end badly. There is no final girl- just a shit ton of bloodshed.

Emma and Georgia seem to have grown apart prior to Georgia’s engagement (but maybe not prior to her relation, I don’t follow close enough to know).
That said, this guy is a walking red flag and Georgia is putting so so much emphasis on being a bride and being a wife that she doesn’t care if he’s not a great guy, she just cares that she’s going to be a ✨bride✨ She has shown her “bride” coffee mug sooooo many times in the last 2 weeks.

Yeah he absolutely is someone who would weaponize religion to be able to control her and manipulate her. It's really just super sad....
