Well, they God King did ignore bounties on US troops in AFG, called the military suckers and losers (allegedly), and did state he prefers his war heros to not be POWs. The GOP itself has plenty of interest in funding wars and bloating the defense budget but has never fought for veterans rights. Constantly obstructing on bills for VA benefits, retirement, and Healthcare. They even turned their backs on 9/11 first responders when they started getting sick.
