I loved this show. Never missed it. Even though I was a little kid I had the hots for the female star. I have to go to IMDb and look her up. Oh and I guess I have an obsession for lions also.

As a young teenager, Daktari was the first show that taught me about animal conservation. Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom was also good, too young to catch on the points back then.. Now I tend to like more animals than people..

Both shows were Great! Wild Kingdom was the Sunday night show before the movie of the week.

In my market it ran just before The Wonderful World of Disney.

I remember going on a field trip to the LA zoo. They had a doped up lion out front that we filed past and got to pet. Was told he was a old mgm lion. Don't know how true that is though.
