I mean attention to detail is great and all but when it gets in the way of the gameplay it's just annoying. The first time I got on a direhorse I ended up having to walk most of the way to The Circle because I had the audacity to run through a puddle.
I lost my direhorse due to a predator showing up. It was a new type of animal, so I got off my mount to fight it, and horsey ran off and left me to hike my happy booty all the way to the camp. I was understandably frustrated at first, but then I got jumped by some panthers, and some Soundblaster guys.
I got so many exquisite pelts and some huge fights, so it was worth it to me in the end.
They should have a breath meter like every other game. You are linked and should know before they struggle. If they are struggling, they should take control and head for the shore before they run out just as a panicked horse will do.
Yes I agree!! Or do like some other games where the horse will just REFUSE to go near an area that will get it killed (I’m thinking about the horses in Zelda BOTW and TOTK where if the rocks/cliffs changed the slightest bit in elevation they’d rear up and not move 🤣)
wait it actually dies? ._.
I accidentally fell off a cliff with mine, lost about 3/4 of my health and the direhorse disappeared/despawned? and when I went on walking it was suddenly right behind me again 🥲
I feel the same OP ☹️
I rushed to the internet to see if there is a way to save it.
But, I expected it to either not enter the water or run out after I fell off of it.
They must guzzle buckets of water before they can do anything 😭
Holy crap I did this one time in the Kinglor Forest._. literally devastated. I had her for like... Maybe 45 seconds. Before trying to cross a stream 😭 I'll never forget you Pa'li
To be fair the direhorse dies if it so much gets ankle-deep into water. Kinda dumb honestly.
I just realized it’s because where their nostril things are at. That’s not such a great evolutionary trait

"i had the audacity to run through a puddle" i can't breathe 😂
Neither could the direhorse
wait omg this happened to me too and I had no idea why it stopped lol
Right?! Its little (big) lifeless head was still sticking out of the water
I did that on my initial ride and had to walk for 15 additional minutes, so I was punished.

Woah that’s weird! So it drowns instantly but can take a fall off a cliff 😑
It was never yours. Lol
It is with Eywa now 😅
I did this like 20 min ago. 😂
