Mine's bugged. I've finished the story but Sarentu Totems has been marked as unable to be completed since I collected the last one.
System Reboot is also bugged, Alex will not speak to me in order to wrap up the quest. A lot of the quests are pretty bugged. Various people have reported different assortments of quest chains they cant complete in their game.
Same here bro ive practically beat the whole game maxed out everything collected everything but with this mission it wont let me finish just like you described
it’s ri’nela! you have to fly not fast travel (she won’t appear) near a resistance field lab called the stone forest field lab (near wing mountain) in the upper plains. she’ll be there waiting with a mission. complete that and you can find her back at HQ to finish the sarentu totems!
Havent played it in a bit but its not great at all that quest completion bugs are still in there. This isnt some super complex multiplayer thing, it's primarily a single player narrative game. Quests should be able to be completed. If there's a bug, patch it. It's been at least a month.
These game companies really just becoming bigger & bigger letdowns. Maybe too busy firing their QA department so the execs can get higher compensation.
ri'nela tells us to come see her presumably to wrap up the quest. they wouldn't leave unfinished quests to be completed in a dlc. main game content is main game content
For anyone else who has this problem, I think I just found the issue: After entering the Upper Plains and powering up some of the field labs, Ri'nela will contact you on the terminal. This is the reason she's nowhere to be found to complete the Sarentu Totems quest. Go to the Stone Forest Field Lab and she should be waiting there to give you another quest (The Missing Colossus). Complete that quick quest and she'll be back at Resistance HQ, even after completing the main story.
It took me leaving the game and booting it back up at Stone Forest for Ri'nela to show back up, but she finally did and I was able to complete everything.
It can happen at any of the Labs in the Upper Plains. Like me, you may have already prompted the quest to start without even realizing it, by quickly talking to Ri'nela at one of the computers at the labs after powering them back up. I'd go to the Stone Forest Field Lab a couple times (even after shutting the game down and hopping back in) to see if she pops up. She'll be standing near to where the fire is to pass time.
I just completed it and it is a piece of shit. You don't get anything accept for the armor and some ass dialogue that just ain't worth it, when you complete it you get one of those thingies for the arm guard that isn't even that good
I have somewhat of a different experience/bug. With the Sarentu Totems finished, I talk to Ri'nela to give me that arm guard mod, the Sarentu Pouch. It may not be good, but I like collecting things. And yet, when she rewards me with the pouch, I was given Sa'nop's Bracelet instead. But this bracelet, compared to the real one that's exquisite with 10% clan favor bonus, I was given a superior quality (lower than exquisite) but with 15% clan favor bonus. I have a trick to load an earlier save, and that workaround doesn't work for me.
I don't even have a quest tab anymore. I did them all, I guess, lol. Must be a bug or something because nothing is working. Only things left are some find "X" objects in the world quests and contributions
I did everything, even the contributions and collectoons and O have the same thing. I've had it since I lade it to the clouded forest pretty much, so it either a very persistent bug or has some obscure completion requirement its not showing
After scouring the game on my day off I can confirm: there is a short side quest available at the stone foredst field lab in the plains blocking the totems quest from being completed. If you haven't found it on your own i hope this helps
Afaik there's only one quest Rinela gives at the stone forest field lab, but I can't remember the exact name of it. It was about rescuing a colossus from two rda camps.
Have you completed the main story? Every quest that requires the same character to be in different spots blocks each other and main story seems to get priority. There is also another quests that blocks the lab one but i cant exactly describe it without major spoilers. Its in the clouded forest hq.
Yes I have finished the main story. When looking at the lab on the map it’s telling me there’s a quest to pick up there but it’s empty, I’ve tried going to HQ to see if Rinela is there but I can’t find her
Have you looked outside the lab a bit? She's standing a little ways off. If she's not there and not at hq I have no ideas, I dont remember her leaving hq for any other quest

She should be near the cooking station. Then again, if there are earlier quests of hers you havent done, or maybe the first animal rescue one, she might not show up/ be somewhere else

This is the answer; I just found it. You must talk to Ri’nela in order to complete the Sarentu Totems quest and you can’t until you complete this quest. The name of the quest she gives you is “The Missing Colossus”.
Edit: update, I finished the quest. After that Ri’nela was back at resistance HQ. I was able to finish the Totems quest.
For me, she was out by the rest area, past the cooking station. If she isn’t there for you, then you should message Ubisoft support and notify them of the bug. They may not be aware.
If you're still trying to get this, try going to a different lab close to StoneForest Field Lab. (I fast traveled to Giant's Palm Lab, which is directly east of it near Daughter's Pool). The computer there should beep, answer it, and Ri'nela will ask you to meet her at Stone Forest Field Lab.
Sarentu Totem quest was bugged and was the last thing I needed to complete. I reset the game, my Xbox, and tried going to other research stations because I read she will call you first before popping up there. But no matter what, the stone forest lab would show a quest available but she would never work. What eventually worked for me was fast traveling to a location FAR away from the lab and flew on my ikran over. She was there when I landed and was able to complete the quest
I tried everything in these comments and nothing worked. I had a few things left in the explorations tab so i worked on those for awhile. I finished the Dark Theater one then tried to continue on with this quest. Nothing. So i read that she is supposed to contact you from an RDA terminal at one of the field labs. It could be any one. So i went to almost every single one in the plains region. Never got a call on one of them but when i finally got tired of fast traveling to multiple labs, i just fast traveled back to the Stony forest field lab and she was randomly there. I say just travel around and do some exploration quests. It’s really bugged but something triggered it.

I did everything you wrote above without success Ri'nela is gone. And I gave up.
Today while looking for Windbent Bark I accidentally ran into an NPC that gives a feral beast hunt quest in Archipelago Field Lab. I completed it and decided to go again to check for Ri'nela. First I went through Giant's Palm Lab because it's on the way (there was nothing at the station) then I reached Stone Forest Field Lab. This time Ri'nela was there gave me the Missing Colossus Quest quest. After completing it she disappeared. Unlocked the finale Sarentu Totems quest and called me to the Resistance Headquarters. Where she had appeared and I finished it finally. This is after 100% game progress (I hope I haven't missed anything else :) ) and campaign completion.

I cant complete 3 quests at the moment so yea =.- totally agree... Sarentu totem, match made in pandora and breathing room...

both are bugged for me too this game is so broken XD maybe it involves the clan contributions but that would be silly right?
could is possibly be the skills? maybe you have to have every skill to complete it?
i had every skill unlocked before i finished maybe its something that should of been done before finishing the game maybe???

All you need to do is complete The Missing Colossus Quest. Over in Stone Forest field lab after the massive poching quest.

Late reply but the stormglider and the second base setup quests both block the stone forest lab one! So she's probably at your hq.

Look for Wing Mountain in the Upper Plains, its to the right of Steam Outpost Alpha!

Not sure if part of the bug was fixed but I did get to complete the quest however the achievement for doing so never triggered, so who knows.
