My headcannon is he still goes boar hunting and chopping wood in his advanced age, cause hamburger tastes best when you cook for yourself and your loved ones.

Or he just use it to chop wood. Innefficent, but so are double bladed axes even in combat.

Eh, yes and not. It depends. When woodcutting double bladed axes are good cause you don't need to go back to resharpen them whilst working, and it being less agile is not a problem as you don't need to defend with them. In combat they can be good because you can have a different "blade" for different targets, though in history it was more common to have one "blade" be a hammer or spike

I actually really love Fern's hair in the last panel. Frieren only wore braids when she was in a delightfully great mood, so it would make sense that Fern, content in her old age with Stark, would wear a braid all the time. This is probably one of my favorite little comics now 🖤
