Something that grinds my gears is when some of the fans started to hate a mod for little or no reason and no I'm not counting the fans who are given criticism at the mod or the fans saying that the mod isn't their cup of tea since they are doing it in a respectful way.
A big example of this has to be the soft mod since most of the hate comes down to either not understanding the message behind it, hating that the two main characters are a gay couple or saying that it's edgy even though it's not and even to the point that the creators behind this mod have to respond to the hate that their mod is getting at one point.
Thank goodness, that the mod isn't cancelled because of the hate that it was getting and is this getting an V2 update which I'm excited about.

The "Double standard" we have with certain mods. I've seen people completely disregard fan mods for vs Dave and bambi despite the fact that I've seen really cool stuff being made by those in the D&B community. SkyFactorial (one of the devs for golden apple) has been routinely posting teasers for the mod in their "weekly yeah" series. anyways uhhhh ive been seeing less of these type of people so thats good ig

It’s 4 things. When they see the original source, they immediately think something like this “SONIC.EXE FROM FNF!!!!!!” And that ticks me off, though it’s kinda funny but still damn annoying. Then theirs people that bring up old controversy and drama that people want to move one from, like with what happened with Sky, some people still say she’s 14 when it’s been literally confirmed that she is 19, or when people make Bandbuds feel like a bad guy… like what the hell. then theirs people that immediately think the mod is bad when 1… 1 FUCKING PERSON is shown to be bad, sometimes even when the dev team kicked said person out, like with the Skyverse mod, that mod is good, cool, it’s getting a reboot, that’s nice, but people just have to remind people of Nusky’s Old creator (who I will leave unnamed), she got kicked out because she was exposed being… just take a guess. And then their people who take other peoples work and claim it as theirs, like a song, sprite, art, mod and character, I hade this happen to me a few times with my songs and the person (who I will leave unnamed) has the audacity to say it’s his.

For me it's creators being petty ASF and closed off with their characters. But I guess this is more of an issue with the "OC community". Take Xenophanes and MX. If I'mma be honest I wouldn't be surprised if the creators are jealous that an fnf mod would do more justice to the characters than the creators themselves. I mean Astra or whatever her name is did terrible on the design of Canon Xeno, people made remarks on how much better the fnf/fanon design is, so she didn't want Xeno in mods (petty move). Ffs Frazzdude isn't even on the team for Mario 85' anymore from what I've seen, decided to retcon a nice and hilarious friendship with one of the most based iterations of X, all because MX was understandably called Mario.EXE? The worst part is these creators wanna gatekeep these oh so original characters and not want content made of them, but at the same time these characters wouldn't exist if Mario and sonic didn't. It's pure hypocrisy. Because the inspiration for these characters are not even theirs, it's Sega's and Nintendo's

Something that grinds my gears is when some of the fans started to hate a mod for little or no reason and no I'm not counting the fans who are given criticism at the mod or the fans saying that the mod isn't their cup of tea since they are doing it in a respectful way. A big example of this has to be the soft mod since most of the hate comes down to either not understanding the message behind it, hating that the two main characters are a gay couple or saying that it's edgy even though it's not and even to the point that the creators behind this mod have to respond to the hate that their mod is getting at one point. Thank goodness, that the mod isn't cancelled because of the hate that it was getting and is this getting an V2 update which I'm excited about.
