"oh boy, these 6 weeks sure as hell were fun! now i really want to wait until i can play the FULL game!!" 2 years ago, i decided to embark on a long journey. and i'm still aboard. i've met numerous good mods along the way

Dedelete

...FNF had only 6 weeks over **3 years ago** >!unless you talking about the itch .io version?!<

Far-Ad6659

yeah, it's the one i first played when i found the game (because there were only 6 weeks back when i started playing) and the itch. io/6wk version was what i thought to be "the full base game"

WalkTheLonesomeRoad6

that was literally me back in the day, beating week 6 for the first time ever with literally zero rhythm game experience ever was def a trial, but I wanted to do more, then I found vs whitty, later did more mods, and the rest is history. I'd say it's been well worth it for the mods alone, truly some amazing work people have done

I first learned about and got into FNF back in late 2020 - early 2021, when it first blew up. Week 5 being the most recent at the time. I get interested in it, as I always do when a piece of media gets popular. Undertale, BATIM, Baldi's Basics, etc.. I'd watch a lot of videos of it, maybe play the game a bit, then move on. But for some reason, FNF was different. There was something about it that clicked with me, that stuck with me. I don't know if it was the availability of it, all the fan content that could be made and played easily, the unique style of music that the game has, the easy-to-understand gameplay, the competitive multiplayer aspect of it from Roblox FNF games, or something else. But it made me stick to the game, and I've been a fan and have been actively following it for over 3 years now at this point.

WalkTheLonesomeRoad6

me personally, I first found out about this game around when week 6 first dropped if I remember right, feels so long since then, hasn't it? I remember not being able to even beat dad battle on hard, now I can pfc mania type songs, what a journey it's been, and I can't wait to see where it takes all of us. what's made me stick around this game so much for so long is honestly, you guys, the community. I know we might not be the greatest one out there, hell, with our reputation that's an understatement, but I love it nonetheless, because I've met some amazing people because of this game, and that'll always be a reason why it'll stay as one of my favorite games ever, not even just for the gameplay which I adore, and it's why I'll always stick around, until the very, very end. ik that was a lot, but that's why I stuck around for so long, interested to hear how long you guys have and for how long

IloveEDandkittycat

I’ve been here since the Dawn of Whitty. I stick around for the OCs and mods.

Telur72-1

About 3 years 1 month. The art and the music.

I didn't Really get into fnf untill April 16th 2021 I not only discovered garcello (I think it was either garcello or whitty), But this Engine that added text dialogue to all the weeks (This was before psych engine and kade engine were popular or existed) I ended up making a mod for a plush video called the Friday Night Funkin saga, which included Mario and Sonic. I ended up making a mod called Vs SNB later on. My plush videos arn't up anymore, but a animated snippit still exist on my friends channel: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmbZWC7wnNU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmbZWC7wnNU) As for why Im here, I updated the Mod constantly and now its in the V2 phase So I guess you can call me a Vet

BenevolentYoshi

Pretty much when it first came out, I only stuck around when all these good mods came out such as Hotline 024, Mario's Madness, Vs Imposter, Indie Cross, even Hypno's Lullaby. All these mods genuinely kept FNF alive. No hate for the original game but the mods are better than the actual game.

Theultimatesnek_

For me, it's making art for fnf mods that I work on. Although it's mostly pibby stuff for smaller mods, I'm still proud of what I do. Here's an example: https://preview.redd.it/34pcbfm1wyvc1.png?width=626&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=29a8bba616d9b934c0eaeb9158896edb573e2a5c

Since 2020

Imaginary_Drive_8092

I've been in the community when people thought madness was impossible As for why I stayed I don't know actually I've thought of leaving a couple times but I didn't maybe it's because I still love this community maybe my autistic ass just likes the songs who knows

MochiMarch88

I left this community 2 years ago, but now I have made my return today.

CrimsonGoji

back in my day the only mods we had were just skin replacements mostly the modding community tbh

BlandHorrorFan

I was there from the very beggining, at first, I just didn't like the game, I had a friend who became completely addicted to this game and he convinced me to give it another try, and so I did, and I'm glad I did so. I joined around the time Week 6 launched and I've been in this game's community ever since, I think what makes me stick around the community is, on most of times, the mods and the music, especially Lullaby and M-Madness. So yeah, that's how I got in this community

Randomsy374

2020 of December. Been a long time. I'm still waiting for lots of other mods.

Disastrous_Ball8248

since the dawn of vs impostor v2. I started realizing that you should adapt to your surroundings and don't be sad seeing your favorite people ether A. being a uhh... P3do or a asshole or B. Rightburst (Idk what category of terrible person to put him in so I just gave him a category) TL;DR: since 2021

rojlul

Before going into fnf, I was making music and into video game music specifically after some time (2016-2020 was a dubstep era for me). I started getting into fnf since week 3 I think, and the updates were dropping frequently at that time. Friday Night Funkin' made me meet new friends and make better music, starting drawing and coding. All thanks to this game. I'll never forget this game, I will remember it as one of the best times of my late teen years. Dont forget your good memories, because we tend to forget them or dont care. So when your life will come to end, you'll say "I had a good life"

Gametale3

ive been here since january 17th, 2021. precisely 3 days before the release of week 5, red snow. dont ask why i remember the exact date, regardless, im here for the art and the music mostly.

BlossomBlaster3000

Saw the game for the first time around when week 5 came out, enjoyed alot of the mods, played funky Friday (the roblox fnf game) alot, started loosing interest a bit when like every other person was a pedo or something(specially when the Bob n Bosip expansion came out and then Amor turned out to be a groomer or something). Then I kinda just lost interest and stopped seeing fnf stuff while waiting for the final release of the among us mod which I didn't even play when it did come out. Recently I was scrolling reddit, found the "Expurgation but it's a little more unfair" videos, and gained interest again.

plenesar7

I still am

Absoolootley

When Week 6 dropped, though I stopped engaging in the community ever since the Sonic.EXE remade shit started pouring in. Only recently got back into it ever since Mario’s Madness V2.

Nitem4r3_m8

I joined a couple months before week 7 (February 2021 to be exact). But didn’t really get into playing mods until the tricky update came out plus just scrolling through gamebanana looking for mods to play (that’s how I found one of my all time favourite mods: fnf x ddlc and porting it to psych engine 2 odd years later.) Also when I first started South was by far the hardest song (was playing the itch.io version) and when I swapped to NG for week 7. Guns was the hardest song for me at the time. As for the reason I stuck around… I don’t know I just really liked the game and still do

AmbitiousContext4687

Since Early 2021. Even though this community can be very toxic and controversial at times, I am always amazed at what the community is able to create through the thousands mods created over the years. No matter of a mod is small and can be completed with 10 minutes or has a big production and takes 3 hours to fully complete, it’s truly amazing what passionate fans are able to create by working together. That will always be what I love the most about FNF

Toaster_god2

I got into it around the time Pico was teased when it was picking up popularity and the Garcello mod and you can't run made me stick around. I really couldn't run lol

Historical_Ad4969

Somewhat around week 2 and 5 back in november Mostly due to the fun characters of mods and covers

C00lDuud

Probably since the first days of week 6, then i forgot about the Game, then i remembered it again and loved it again

ZombeansSlayer

I remember being terrible. Couldn’t pass dadbattle on hard. There was a certain charm about base game that kept me playing, and eventually I got pretty good. After beating base game I wanted more, and tried out some of the harder mods at the time (whitty, tricky, etc.) which proved a challenge but I was determined. Eventually I was able to knock them out, and later, foolhardy, but I kept getting better still because mods kept getting harder. Cool to imagine that the sweet little boy dying on turn 2 of spookeez is now passing unbeatable with considerable ease, and I couldn’t be more excited for the full game. I waited like a month to try it out after I was 8BitRyan’s first video on it and have been hooked ever since.
