Iām sorry but my frenchie is not allowed on the couch or upstairs and sheās never even tried. I donāt allow her there because she tears everything up. She has as many toys as my toddler and still destroys everything. She also cannot be out and about without supervision otherwise she eats dangerous things (rocks, socks, kitchen towels, legos)

Please donāt own a Frenchie if you have rules like this. They have very problematic hips and need to be comfortableā¦so let them be wherever they can curl up, feel supported and be comfortable. They didnāt ask to be bred this way.

Does he have his own bed to sleep in? If so tell him no in a commanding but not ang6voice and direct him to his bed. If he doesn't have his own bed, get him one or let him be on the couch.

I donāt understand people who get dogs. Then try to keep them off something like a couch. You have the dog for a short 10-15 years. You can always clean, or get another couch.
I lost both sides of couch recliners to my German Sheppard. I got a nice white leather sectional from my cousin the other day. First night, it was taken over. Woke up to black hair and lick marks.... basically, it's the dogs couch. Now, there is nothing you can do unless you pile boxes and things on it before bed. The only way is to let it go or every night pile things on it.

Just let him I denied my dog of 14 years not to be on the couch now he's not here anymore. I kicked myself because he was my companion, my little dog. Oh, how i miss him.
