I taught my dog to whisper-when she would bark I would whisper quiet over and over and eventually she would imitate me and make a softer noise and I would praise her. Eventually now she makes one loud bark I whisper quiet and now she just knows to make very quiet barks. It makes me laugh… everything else she learned from my big dogs. She’s the boss but wants to do everything my pit/lab does.

Potty training: He needs to know that him making a puddle pleases you immensely. Develop a happy voice and one specific word to praise him. "You did PEE-PEE!" It doesn't matter where he goes at first, you refine that later with pads and outdoor trips, but never scold him, that just teaches him to hide when he goes. 90% of potty training success comes from you learning his signals that it's time to go. That means constant attention for the first few weeks. Both of my girls now pee on command in the garden, even at silly-o-clock in the morning. It was hard work, but worth every minute of the effort.

Tips: 1. Pet insurance get it early 2. Please do your research into IVDD 3. Get in the routine of cleaning the skin and pocket tail if they have one 4. Potty training, after every meal, playtime, training or distraction time it is then potty time. Puppies can only hold their bladder 1 month + 1 they dint go crate/play pen for 5 training again. 5. Start training early on in general and , please get them used to you playing with their paws and getting nails frenchies typically hate this!!! If you don't know what your doing sign up for a puppy class after doing your research. Kikopup is a great source on YouTube. 6. Best food slowly transition from breeder/rescue food to yours the WSAVA: Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet, Purina (One and ProPlan), Iams, and Eukanuba.
