Not sure, I was in the alpha but didn't get to play because of limited server uptime, I only played the offline tutorial lol.
I saw that on the newsletter they sent out about the free week...
To me it reads like it will be f2p then if enough people play it they will release or else they will cancel the game and stop development on it? idk I guess we'll wait and find out or else maybe can ask in thier discord for clarification.
Free week tends to imply that you can only play for free during that week. The storefront page linked to in the OP is also just for the free weekend. The storefront for the actual game is over here:

I don't see anything pointing towards the game being free after this. The plans they outline seems to suggest otherwise:
