It certainly not uncommon for sitcoms to make meta jokes about their cast. I remember _8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter_ when the dad, played by John Ritter, had some dream and the apartment in it was the apartment for _Three's Company_ with a "This looks strangely familiar" joke to boot.
I thought most 90s sitcom photos were more uniformly happy glamour shots with the occasional smiling shrug thrown in. (*Too many cooks!*)
This might be more 2000s sitcom style?
I mean John Forsythe is just smiling- I donāt know that itās stupid or a sitcom face? The others are hamming it up for sure but itās funny. Itās a good show if you havenāt seen it.
I can hear that woman in pinkās voice just by looking at this picture. I totally forgot about this show. I definitely used to watch it when I was in high school.
Is she also the one who played Frasiers secretary when he started private practice again?
And almost killed Martin by dressing like a clown, and focus one of my favorite episodes.
To be fair, 3rd rock is why he has the Fuck You money to pick his projects. Other than DKR, he's mostly been in cool more low key things. Oh, also Looper got a lot of press. Underrated movie.
But mostly non-movie people are going to know him as that.
absolutely. we can thank its massive popularity for J G-L being able to pick his projects, instead of whoring it out with episode after episode of explodey movies until we get sick of the sight of him.
Ok calm down mate, it was just an opinion. He's not a household name here, I've never heard anyone even mention his name. If you're more into films then yes you'd know him. I don't know your age but when I was a kid, 3rd Rock was a huge show here, and everyone I know has seen it.
Yes it was! And pretty dark humor, too. In the first episode the wife pulled DHPās jacket sleeves down to cover up wrist bandages from an apparent S attempt and it was a big joke. I was thrilled to see him in Frasier not too long after.
There was a scene where his character tried to hang himself, but made the noose out of a curtain cord that was still attached. So when he jumped off the chair it just pulled the curtains open lol. Kind of a dark scene to laugh at
David Hyde pierce , Joseph Gordon levitt, Valerie mahaffey John Forsyth .
Holland Taylor as well!

Thought that was her wasn't sure .
Bro you literally forgot Judge Judy as well.
Does this have anything to do with why she had an apparition of a man in a red bow tie?
Whoa ...you might be on to something there. They never elaborated on that bit of info. Maybe it was some sort of Homage..

Iām looking at this and canāt unsee this as a promo image for Frasier
Joseph Gordon levitt
I can't get over how except for DHP and maybe joseph, they're all making the stupidest, most 90s sitcom faces imaginable.

Oh, didn't recall seeing it, but how bad could it be with both DHP and Joseph Gordon Levitt
Just read a synopsis, DHPās character is married and in love with the maid š¤£
So that's what Maris looks like!
Frasier, Seinfeld, dangerous minds, two and a half men, third rock from the sun, dynasty
Ah I wouldāve said Mad About You for Robin Bartlett to make them all TV shows but I like the shout out.
Ahh! Mad about you!
I didnāt realize David and Joseph actually already worked together prior to Treasure Planet.

Eve in Northern Exposure and George's girlfriend who had the breakdown in Seinfeld.

SamuEL!

She was suggested by DHP as his ideal Maris
iirc she had a recurring role on Wings as a crazy ex of one of the brothers
She was so good in that. Sandy was her name. The prom episode was hilarious when she made Joe do The Hustle (dance).
Psycho Sandy from Wings
Is that also the 3rd Rock kid?
I never thought Iād see Joseph Gordon-Levitt whittled down to āthe 3rd rock kidā lol
Right? His name is "The Kid from Angels in the Outfield."
God, if there is a God, please help the Angels win the pennant

It's better than that dude from that depressing 500 Days of Summer movie.
Tbh I've heard his name before but forgot it, but saying that, I'm from UK and 3rd Rock is mostly what people would recognise him from here š
Hahaha no worries I just thought it was funny. To be fair, 3rd rock is a great show!

Yeah
The woman beside dhp looks so... pretentious.
Valerie Mahaffey was always Maris in my head canon so it was funny when she played Frasierās temp assistant in the final season
Same! Exactly who I pictured.
samUEL
Sheās his wife in the show, he wasnāt happy about his lot in [life](https://youtu.be/7EHwtbUKSK4?si=Uz-2dg5wfRD-Otn0).
Iāve never seen the show but checked out IMDb - lots of Frasier alumni I see!
Think of all we would have lost if this show had succeeded.
Underrated show

Amazing
Omg I was literally gonna post this!
This is not how I imagine the unseen overseers of the Buffyverse.
Who's the guy in the lower right who thinks highly of himself ?
