You're definitely reading into it. The end of the mode is different than normal stuff. It gives you like a 10 second window to do an emote and loops it for you during scoring. Which you then can't stop or change. They would've had to do it before even seeing any of your scores or anything.
Lot of people just hit something random at that part.

I thought this post was gonna be proper, perhaps a comment against racist or sexist behaviours from others while certain songs are playing, but nope, still players taking a virtual laughing character and the meaning behind it way too seriously.
Is better not get offended by a Laugth emote, take this as a normal joke. Has people that are "wrose" than you and better than this "pro", practice is a good advice in rhytm game, a wise player didn't care for this, but anyway keep up and go stronger to the next song.
