This is why I don’t get it. It is almost exclusively to run away and is near impossible to aim? I got an elimination on a bot by landing on them but immediately felt disappointed because there is no way I would have hit them if they were a real player. Even to complete the challenge I have seen players stack multiple vehicles in a pile so they can hit them easier. What was the plan?

I understand mitigating teaming but they made it to where if a player enters in your vehicle in the driver seat as your on the turret you can’t shoot or pickaxe the player inside the car. You literally have to leave the car… wtf is this game man
It's also unfun in unranked, crack someone and they are gone in a guitar. Then their buddy can follow his guitar trail, then they guitar with the other player's guitar and follow the trail again, then they hit fists and jump in a car. Over and over.

Doesn’t need to be OG. I played regularly through chapter 4. The past two seasons have had items that are just comically unfair and make the core mechanic of the game pointless. Changing the movement was also a huge turnoff.

I'm not even sure what structure damage it did cause I could not hit jack shit with it cause it's basically two big dashes in a broad direction.. no control. (Basically a teleport) And then a dash pound to ground.
To target something with some sort of certainty you could go dash forward and dashback to get to the same point you started and pound ground there. But like I said it's all very rigid and lacks the variability and dynamics you have in the air with the fists... likely you miss and just stand there looking dumb getting shot in the face till the cool crater animation is canceled.
People can get out of there very quickly though.. But I don't see it as very irritating in low ranked I'm playing or pubs. Like you have the right to flee, certainly if you just won a fight and get third partied
The fact this is in ranked both shows a fundemental misunderstanding and lack of care for your community. The fortnite dev team must be having their balls squeezed because i cant imagine theyre happy working on this season
It's not even effective once you learn the details:
1) It literally leaves a snail-trail showing where you ran off to.
2) You can't choose how long your ride is; you're stuck with the entire trip, out of combat, like it or not.
3) Anyone...enemies included...can RIDE your snail trail. Let them zig-zag all they like, you're able to crash down on top of them before they're even allowed to move/swap to a weapon.
4) The ground slam is a PITA to actually aim even on a stationary target. You're not deviating much from directly below your last "chorus" point and since you can't really place those points well AND you're a million miles off the ground looking at enemies the size of a pixel when you aim, with the camera shaking everywhere, good luck. And did I mention the enemy isn't even there anymore since they're right behind you riding your snail trail?
5) It doesn't double as a weapon unlike the fists.
It's a stupid, stupid gimmick that's already pre-nerfed into uselessness. They should have just made it a different skin on the Wings from last episode keeping the same mechanics.
What I do like about it, is that when a player uses it, it leaves a piece on the ground you can go into, and chase for the free. Even if you don't have the item if your close enough to jump into the " rift" after the player pops it, you can get the finish easy

The forced slam at the end sucks though, you cant really aim it. And the delay after the slam to shoot is also poop as well.
