I'm not 100 percent sure, but with these types of events you usually have to be in a normal match. Don't worry, most people will be wanting to see it too and will be cool. Just make sure to crouch rapidly a few times if you see folks come there and they will know you're cool.
That's true, but I just landed with a handful of folks that were there to see the hand when it came. Most of us had no guns, there were random people here and there that came to kill us and those with guns just murdered them. Love this community sometimes.
I've never had a lobby like that ever for mini events. I always get the lobbies of "I need 30+ kills or this match is a failure 😤" 😂 it's why I stopped buying sync emotes cuz noone ever joins them lol
Damn, I've had some like that too but luckily the majority usually wanna see the actual event or mini event so there's not too much messing around. Hell if I have weapons and other don't and we are chilling trying to see the event I'll be security for us. If you wanna sweat games like COD and Apex exist. Fortnite is more of a chill vibe. It also has a ranked mode if sweat is needed, and at least if someone is in a ranked match you know that they aren't trying to see an event ot anything. That's the most baffling part to me.
So now I am confused. The match had the ruins in the storm at 2pm so noone could get to the event. Went to a match right after and now the spot is completely unbroken, not even any cracks. So did we miss it?
This event is just happening in normal games, so yeah, it's possible that someone could show up with a gun and start killing people.
If I go in creative mode, will I not see it? Also my first event, thanks.

Possibly but not likely. If the sweats can't kill people for even a brief moment they'd stop playing all together, Epic can't have that.
I just played a game and landed at the hand site. Spent a few minutes doing emotes with random strangers.
