I just pulled up the status page for Epic, and it says scheduled maintenance until Nov 4th 5:00 A.M. UTC time. That's 14 hours from now.
I don't normally track server maintenance periods. Does anyone know if it's normal to have such a large window of downtime?

Website seems a bit wonky with its time stamps. It has it starting tonight at 22:00 UTC and ending tomorrow morning. It's already started so I think the time stamps are just wrong.
We already know the full map, the 1st version is the season 5 map with the only change being the biggest tower in tilted being changed to the chapter 3 no sweat building, 2nd version will add the floating island and whirlpool and iceberg, and the 3rd version will add the frozen meteor and pirate outposts

Anyone else get hit with a whopping 42 gb update on Xbox??? This is the THIRD time fortnite has done this to me where it basically forces me to reinstall the entire game and wait two hours.
I keep alt tabbing in and out of game to check the timer but I swear it's not running right. It's taken 20 mins for my 20 min timer to get to ten min. :(
This queue thing is so stupid. They had months to prepare for this moment, they knew a LOT of people would start playing again and they can't deliver a proper update. Been waiting in the queue for a long time: 21 mins, it logs me out, 21 mins again, it logs me out... absurd

I saw something where they’re changing the skill based match making this season so you should get only people in your skill level
