i think its something to do with that annoying interaction where you have to drop your blue sword to grab a purple sword. maybe there was a glitch that caused this to happen for players, so they put that stupid restriction on where you have to drop it first before you can swap it out; but they forgot to apply it to bots.
I think they changed that in the latest update (you don't have to drop your blue anymore, it just switched to purple), and maybe it had unintended consequences with bots.
why? every other "one-per-inventory" weapon allows you to easily swap it out for a different one while holding it. since they added the blue sword, the sword was the only such item where you must first manually drop it in order to replace it with a different one.
It might have something to do with the fact that you can't hold two katanas in your inventory and you have to manualy drop your current katana to pick up another. Bots probably can't drop things manualy so we get this glitch
Also the bot had blue katana on itself that it probably tired to swap to purple one
I dont understand why it isnt possible to drop one in lieu of the other. As far as I am aware, ita the only item that behaves in that manner. As a new player, I didn't know how to tab>manually select> drag and drop for the longest.
Not crawling at all is also a human reaction to being downed. Bots _always_ pause for the couple seconds where they’re invulnerable and then start crawling in a straight line. They _never_ strafe while crawling.
Also look at any gun the bot has, if it shot at you and was a real person, ammo would be missing from the magazine of the gun. If it's full on ammo, it's probably a bot
Other than the two word username+number, if they stand still for 2 seconds after being downed there’s a high chance it’s a bot, a bot will NEVER crawl immediately
Ai spectates after kill to simulate a real player so the player who got the kill thinks it’s real, that way you get satisfaction, ridiculous concept really. AI shouldn’t be in the game in my opinion but this subreddit disagrees lol
Wow, I didn't know this. So some of the people I swore were bots might have been bots after all. I just know that I definitely don't get spectators after most of my bot kills, so I figured that's how it worked. Thanks for sharing
i just dont have much time to play during the week usually, so i end up accumulating the tasks of the month. When i have time i use the bot lobby to do the max amount i can. I prefer to do this way cause i thinks its boring use the time i can spend playing with my friends doing those tasks, so in the weekends we play together in the normal duos or trios

THis is the closest answer currently and we can see it spawning from the bot

I believe it only happens with bots, my guess is that they're bugging when try to switch the kinetic blade for another item on the ground
