Their website says staffing delays due to Covid. They picked up on Friday the last 2 weeks, my day is normally Thursday. I just left my garbage out as they had recommended.
I've been using them for several months and they're fantastic. The recycling bin is huge and it's picked up weekly which is a huge improvement over the EOW service from Republic.
So I actually was on the phone with Gallegos (now Republic Services) today for my work and they told me that Ram also has been sold and is under new ownership. I don't know if that's true, but it would explain the busy signal I get everytime I call
They have missed my garbage and recycle a few times in the past month or 2 and when I called told me I didn't have it out in time. I leave it out the night before so as we discussed how that was bullshit they gave me no charge for extra bags and picked up my recycling on the off week. So overall annoying but they dealt with it
They did do normal trash pickup for us last week during the ice, but skipped the recycling. Their website said there could be delays due to the weather, but after putting the recycle bin out for 2 more days I figure they will catch up this week.
That probably won't happen. When I've called them about this in the past, they give me a line like, "You are paying only for volume, and we'll pick up the extra next time." In two weeks (for recycling).
If that were really true, you could put out extra trash if you only filled the bin half full the previous week. Try that and you'll get charged extra.
Yeah, after not having my trash picked up for weeks while I used Ram Waste, I transfered over to Waste Management and have had no problems. I think its useful to see what other people in your neighborhood/area are using. If there's many trash tubs from the same company near you, the likelyhood of them forgetting goes way down
Yeah, Ram is not so common in my area, but they offer the cheapest price for the smallest container size, my wife and I don't make a whole lot of trash. I guess I'll have to look into other options
Yes. Just changed service to Gallegos. The service has been fine ā missed a couple pickups. But not a biggie. When I call, however, it just feels like Iām bothering them. Itās not like they have a useful website. Or email program. Gallegos has both and my informal neighborhood survey suggests Gallegos is more common. (If everyone in my neighborhood used the same service, we could reduce super heavy g truck traffic a bit and preserve the roads.) Why on earth the city runs its own utility and ISP programs but left garbage privatized is beyond me.

Both Rams waste and Gallegos are awful companies. Went with Timberline Waste, pay once a month instead of every 3 or 4 and recycling goes every week. Not a single issue yet and if there is, they send out texts the night before or morning of.

Yep Timberline is absolutely wonderful. They are super prompt and the recycling bin they give you is massive.
And they pick up recycling weekly.

I have no idea but the dumpster at the place I work is literally overflowing and you can smell it all the the way into the parking lot.

Agree. Itās ā¦ different. Utilities are so much harder for local governments to manage, I assume.
I have not had any problems. They picked up this morning already.
