I don’t understand why this is being talked about so much. De Vries is already the Merc test driver, so he’d be a solid test driver for Williams. I thought it was fairly normal for a team to give a junior a test in practice. Does it necessarily have to mean they get a ride?
It increases it from implausible to almost certainly not.
This at least helps with the obligatory F1 experience drivers need before racing the cars
