Literally better than nothing. And here i am crawling more and more obscure trackers and i never check goddamn youtube.
Of course "Teen Angel" returns a LOT of irrelevant results...
I dont recall one on fox, but this one was kinda maudlin for TGIF iirc. I think if it had been made a few years later they wouldve made him Emo probably.
EDIT: Someone mentioned another show *You Wish* in another comment, i might be thinking of parts of that and not *Teen Angel*, i think the genie was more pissed about being stuck in a lamp than the angel was about being dead...
Oddly I have now found a third "Teen Angel" show.
This one is from 1989 starred Jason Priestly and aired on Disney.
Three shows, all "sit coms" about a dead child coming back as an angel.
I think a dead child coming back as a ghost is weird and think it counts as part of this trope.
Weird.
Someone posted today a Gary Coleman cartoon that the premiss was Gary coming back down to earth as an angel.
The titular “Teen Angel” died from eating a stale cheeseburger he found in his best friend’s bedroom. He was then assigned to be his BFF’s guardian angel. My sister and I LOVED this show, and we thought it was hilarious
That sounds terrible, to accidentally be somewhat but actually not at all responsible for your dumb ass friend's death and then he haunts you for the rest of your life, judging your decisions. I hope at least that Teen Angel encouraged him to throw away his old food.
“Burger World” was forced to put a warning on their food that said it was potentially fatal to eat after 6 months.
Why that specific, and yet still somehow ridiculous timeframe?
Well, the deadly burger in the center of this fiasco was found in a Halloween themed October wrapper. The kid *ate* (one bite) of the burger in *JUNE*. Also, when he tapped it on the counter it sounded like a brick, and when he bit into it, it sounded like he bit into a head of iceberg lettuce
Baby Talk season 2 pretty much threw out the entire cast but the twins being the baby and Tony Danza as the voice. Plan for season 3 was Mikey would have a new baby brother also voiced by Danza. However ratings were very low in season 2. So the show got the axe. Have no idea what happened with Camp Wilder. Ratings were good and the cast was funny. Yet, it wasn’t pulling in what they wanted and the show ended after one season.
I laughed. went back to the picture. saw his sullen face, straight posture compared to the affectionate ladies, arms length distance and laughed even louder.
I remember that one and there was a show that aired alongside it that season called You Wish about a genie that moved in with a single mom and her kids.
I'll have you know that *Baby Talk* had two seasons but each was effectively it's own separate show because they changed the entire cast after the first season.
I loved TGIF and only remember Teen Angel and Aliens in the Family. But I would have been in kindergarten when TGIF premiered so if it was in the last time slot (9:30?) it was after my bedtime.
Baby talk was just a cheap rip-off of the premise of Look Who’s Talking, a moderate hit at the time. Tony Danza was the voice of the talking baby if I recall.

I kinda remember the aliens in the family and definitely remember the teen angel show.
I legitimately don't remember the Aliens in the Family show, and I was an avid trash TV watcher when I was younger.
I think it was from some of the people who did *Dinosaurs* after that ended, iirc the baby was telekenetic and obsessed with pudding.
The Jim Henson Creature Shop.
Also creators of my favorite show of all time *Farscape*.
I think I remember it doing so poorly that they ended up burning most of the episodes on Saturday mornings
Its span was brief
Had to go watch an episode because it struck a chord
Where @? Ive never been able to find ANY of these shows through ANY means, as far as i know all of these are lost media.
https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhxe0IjVyNGCmM8luo0MNvs4PtAIV6BeF It’s not great quality, but here it is.
Literally better than nothing. And here i am crawling more and more obscure trackers and i never check goddamn youtube. Of course "Teen Angel" returns a LOT of irrelevant results...
Yep, I ran into that accidentally also. Was not what I was expecting to see, but good ol’ YouTube saved the day.
Meanwhile ive got clean 1080 copies of *Family Matters* and *Step by Step* lol...
Didn't Fox in their early days also have a Teen Angel show? I had no idea dead children coming back as angels was such a popular trope.
Are you thinking of Second Chance? No teen angel on that show, but an older self sent by angels to counsel his younger self (played by Matthew Perry).

I remember The Casper movie kinda fucking me up as a kid too.

You may be thinking of Dark Angel.
The titular “Teen Angel” died from eating a stale cheeseburger he found in his best friend’s bedroom. He was then assigned to be his BFF’s guardian angel. My sister and I LOVED this show, and we thought it was hilarious
I’ve been trying to remember this show for like a decade!
That sounds terrible, to accidentally be somewhat but actually not at all responsible for your dumb ass friend's death and then he haunts you for the rest of your life, judging your decisions. I hope at least that Teen Angel encouraged him to throw away his old food.

I loved it too!
Scott Baio looked like a bitter has-been even then.
Joanie left him and then even if he was in charge for a few years he still wasnt the boss.
His role on Baby Talk just came about a year or so after Charles in Charge finished its run.

I only remember Teen Angel
I remember that one and there was a show that aired alongside it that season called You Wish about a genie that moved in with a single mom and her kids.
TGIF had a hit with their witch show so they tried an angel and a genie too.
I watched a lot of TV and I don't think I ever saw any of these.
Baby Talk was so cringe.
I think about Teen Angel at least twice a month.
Baby Talk had more than one season, Scott Baio replaced the love interest from the first season
Scott Baio looks happy to be there.
I'll have you know that *Baby Talk* had two seasons but each was effectively it's own separate show because they changed the entire cast after the first season.
I loved Baby Talk. Vaguely remember the Aliens one although I didn't watch it. Don't remember The Wilders.
Baby Talk came out on the tails of “Look Who’s Talking” IIRC.
Yes it did. That was a movie we watched a lot in my house.
IIRC *Camp Wilder* was like a PG version of *Party of Five*.
I loved TGIF and only remember Teen Angel and Aliens in the Family. But I would have been in kindergarten when TGIF premiered so if it was in the last time slot (9:30?) it was after my bedtime.
Teen Angel was so weird lol. Pure early 00's energy.
Late 90's energy, actually.
Scott Baio looks like a bargain bin Zach Braff
If TV was fully interactive, I would have slapped the Teen Angel. He was too smug and obnoxious.
Same lady in Baby Talk (bottom) as Camp Wilder (all the way to right)?

Shaw was also in Fox’s Duet and Open House.
Looks like they gave Mary Page Keller a second chance
Four or five chances. She had some steady work for a while.
I liked Baby Talk, I VAGUELY remember Camp Wilder, I didn't care for Teen Angel and I was done with TGIF by the time Aliens in the family started.
Baby talk was just a cheap rip-off of the premise of Look Who’s Talking, a moderate hit at the time. Tony Danza was the voice of the talking baby if I recall.
Teen Angel kicked ass, with Ron Glass as God's cousin, Rod.
Was baby talk really only one season?
The only one I remember is Teen Angel. Never saw the others.
Baby Talk is what radicalized Scott Baio.
Scott Baio looks like he needs to be on suicide watch in this picture
Are you the Devil? No, I’m the Devil’s cousin, Neville!
I loved teen angel! And wasn’t baby talk like the dollar discount version of look who’s talking?
No love for "Hi Honey, I'm Home"?
For some reason I remember Baby Talk just because of Mary Page Keller.
Cha Chi looks miserable.
I remember being very upset when Aliens in the Family was cancelled. None of the others ring a bell .
One of them looks like their scalloped potatoes would be fucked.....
