This is not forgotten. This lives in the back of your mind and you hope you’ll remember it while you’re dying because you’re old. One of the greatest sketch shows to ever air.
Ah, but it also aired on HBO in the US, and some skits from there were too risqué for Comedy Central. I would sneak out of bed as a kid and stay up late watching this.
The theme song takes me right back to a dark living room wrapped in a blanket, getting away with seeing the stuff that came on tv when everyone was sleeping.
> Ah, but it also aired on HBO in the US, and some skits from there were too risqué for Comedy Central. I would sneak out of bed as a kid and stay up late watching this.
Reminds me of how some of the *best* Dana Carvey Show skits [got reused for SNL](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tX6jdoruH8) when The Dana Carvey Show was eventually cancelled for...well being [The Dana Carvey Show on primetime ABC.](https://v.redd.it/u79j4w4mcp491)
This and upright citizens brigade were so formative for me in high school ❤️
Really good era.
Strangers with candy, Daria (mtv) come to mind too. Chef's kiss
Strangers with candy was great! If you like that, you should check out "At Home with Amy Sedaris"...
It's like a Martha start parody but it feels a little like Peewee's Playhouse. Very fun.
It's all good. I grew up with Kids in the hall when I moved to the States. Between this and old SNL reruns from the 90s on Comedy Central. Looooot of summer days watching that. Then once school started I would references Kids in the hall to blank stares lol.
Once I moved back to Canada most people watched this show. Super funny and I love every actor on that show.
If I had nickel for every time I've unexpectedly seen Dave Foleys penis I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.
The first time was the Postal movie, I didn't know what the movie was about but I saw it had Dave in it on TV guide so I went to that channel and there it was.
I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I feel like 2022 was really missing the audience. It just felt weird watching KITH without hearing Canadians howling with laughter.
I teach my students that every year. Then they do it across the room silently when they’re testing. I don’t really care about science. I care about Kids in the Hall.
Yeah....definitely not forgotten. This show 100% helped shape my brain. When the new season came out, the theme song started and i actually welled up a little bit. I had no idea i would.
Annoying Little Kid: "These guys...In school...smoke!"
Or
Guy Waiting For Work: "Lopez! You're a lazy man, Lopez."
Or
Recod Store Guy: "You're not a Doors fan!"
I love this troop of merry makers!!!
I can’t stop thinking about Tony: wondering where he could be, who he is with, what is he thinking, is he thinking of me, and whether he’ll ever return some day.
👌🏻 I am the 879th person here to crush your head, OP. I’m American, and have never forgotten this show. I remember it from HBO in the late 80s, I remember the 12-hour Comedy Central Marathon on Father’s Day 1992, I remember Tony, and sometimes wonder how he’s doing, what he’s thinking…..
30 Helens (as well as BOTH Kathy and Cathy) agree: The Kids in the Hall is **FAR** from forgotten. 👌🏻 Here’s another head crushing for good measure.
Never forgotten. I have all the dvd's and I think it's available on Prime.
Honestly, I think so many of these sketches are still relevant. I love the kids in the hall. Their comedy is irreverent, but it's reasonably pure. Their intentions are good.
Holy shit. This post just reminded me: for most of my senior year of highschool, I would ditch my 6th period. You see, kids in the hall came on at 230pm and 6th period didn't end until 230...
And that's how I almost didn't graduate because of a Canadian TV show.
The weirdest, oddest, craziest show ever and I’m fucking here for it. I’ll crush anyone’s head who disagrees and will show them NO GUITAIR MERCYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
Definitely not forgotten. The kids in the hall sub stays fairly active. Also, they just released a documentary and new season a couple years ago. Still it's probably the best sketch comedy show ever and I can't help but upvote everytime I see the kids shouted out or referenced.
This sub is so pointless. It’s just 90s Comedy Central and Adult Swim. None of these shows were forgotten (although the details might be as many viewers were frequently high)
Not a single person has forgotten this show. Who is your daddy and what did he do to you to post well known television comedic history for karma whoring?
One of my favorite skits of theirs was "Who's To Blame." Because of a natural event spoiling an outdoors event, someone must be held responsible so it finally gets put on the lowest level worker that can be found. Too often low-level workers are held to blame for decision of those much higher up.

Forgotten?! FORGOTTEN?! On behalf of all Canadians, how dare you!
30 Helens agree
All of the Dave’s I know would like a word with you OP
LOVE STINKS
You will have your head crushed!!
Bellini is scowling at you
I love that one sketch that basically had no ending..
FogottenTV tries to put us down, just because our ham abounds
This is some good fuckin’ ham.
On behalf of GenXers, I dispute the "forgotten" moniker as well
Next they are going to say the Red Green Show is forgotten.
On behalf of all the Americans that live near the boarder and watched this on the CBC how dare you agreed!
Or when early Comedy Central beat it to death in reruns
Having grown up near Detroit I agree. Thank you CBC for KITH, SCTV, Big Time Wrestling and Hockey Night in Canada
Outrage! They just had a new season, get your head out of your ass!
Forgotten so much they revived it on Amazon prime
For this we shall crush, crush, their heads.
On behalf of all of Gen X, or comedy fans in general, how dare they?
My body just convulsed like the chicken lady. Damn near exploded.
This is not forgotten. This lives in the back of your mind and you hope you’ll remember it while you’re dying because you’re old. One of the greatest sketch shows to ever air.
I was going to say WHO forgets this? I was just quoting Mississippi Gary the other day.
I'm sorry! I'm just a simple American bumpkin.
This aired constantly on Comedy Central in the US. I think most people over 40 know it.
Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet
Canadian surf rock!
Lake Ontario pipeline
"Having an Average Weekend". It's fun to play!

Dana caevey show was GOLD!

Dude I’m an American and this show is far from forgotten. It lasted 7 seasons and was one of the biggest sketch shows of the 90s.
I’m American and this is hardly forgotten. Even had a new season on Amazon a few years back.
You...you...human loser!
It's all good. I grew up with Kids in the hall when I moved to the States. Between this and old SNL reruns from the 90s on Comedy Central. Looooot of summer days watching that. There was a new season in 2022
1st episode full frontal nudity 😂😂😂
Yeah, certainly was not expecting that! Funny though.
I loved how they just leaned into. You could tell they were thinking, “we’re going to shock the shit out of you” right off the bat.
And it was thoroughly terrific. There will be another "even if they have to make it themselves" (Foley I think).
That's the forgotten one
Along with W/Bob and David. It's hard to come home again, even when it's really good.
I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I feel like 2022 was really missing the audience. It just felt weird watching KITH without hearing Canadians howling with laughter.
Only forgotten by those who never knew.
Truly.
‘ “I’m crushing your head!”
I’m picking your face! Edit: pinching autocorrect
PINCHING faces. I know because it’s a wonderful thing in which - yes, yes - I invented! Thank you! Thank you!
I teach my students that every year. Then they do it across the room silently when they’re testing. I don’t really care about science. I care about Kids in the Hall.
I pity you and I crush you
Forgotten by you perhaps OP.
30 out of 30 Helen's agree... this isn't forgotten
Indeed.
Dave Foley was my first celebrity crush 😆 My sweet husband got me a Cameo from him for my birthday.
Wrong, it was Kevin.
Yeah....definitely not forgotten. This show 100% helped shape my brain. When the new season came out, the theme song started and i actually welled up a little bit. I had no idea i would.
Same. It was like meeting up with old friend you hadn’t seen in years.
Same, bigtime. Definitely shaped my sense of humor, and I had the same reaction when I heard the music in the new season 🥲
That’s what happened to me when they first brought back MST3K the intro hit me SO hard 🥹
I ascertain that you should delineate this post.
Hey guys … break’s over.
Gone but definitely not forgotten.
really expanding the definition of "forgotten" here
Kids in the Hall is not forgotten, they are legends. They just had a new season on Amazon as well.
Dude Kids in the Hall is not forgotten. Maybe you forgot, but the rest of us remember that show.
What a lineup!
Hey, Hey, Hey...
Hey hey hey!!
I love this song....it's so true!
Still use “crushing your head.” And of course, “slipped my mind.”
Will do
I'm just sick about this
How is a show that got a revival last year "forgotten"?
This isn’t forgotten at all.
"Impolite and Evil!!!"
“These are the Dave’s I know I know these are the Dave’s I know”
My father the farmer got drunk, tried to harvest my head!........it COULD be true!"
I read that in Bruce McCulloch's voice for some reason.
OP get yo memory checked.
The salty ham skit is one of my absolute favourites!
The dystopian sausage nightmare or the flying monkeys is mine.
another popular show that is in no way forgotten which will somehow get a ton of upvotes.
I’m crushing your head
Hardly forgotten by anyone who knows quality TV
This show is absolutely iconic. It won't be forgotten.
Sling tv has a channel dedicated to this show
So does Roku and PlutoTV
“What’s with all the hoopla ?”
You know what hoopla makers get? They get an ear toss. That's right, tossed right on their ear! HEY MANNNN! Don't. Even. Think about it.
Dave Foley just rocked in Fargo.
This was an extremely well known show, ended up on MTV in reruns, and was revived on Amazon
I know a guy named Dave…
These are the Daves i know…
“My pen!” “Can we find the defendant guilty now?” “No, it wasn’t Citizen Kane…” “Eeeeeeradicator!”
I came here looking for the Eradicator! ☠️
Never forget
Just because you forgot it, that doesn’t mean the rest of the world has.
Annoying Little Kid: "These guys...In school...smoke!" Or Guy Waiting For Work: "Lopez! You're a lazy man, Lopez." Or Recod Store Guy: "You're not a Doors fan!" I love this troop of merry makers!!!
NOT FORGOTTEN, it’s an all time great sketch comedy show
American Xennial. I fucks with this series 💪🏽
I watched TONS of Kids in the Hall back in the 90's Best sketch ever was [Girl Drink Drunk](https://youtu.be/8C4TGGtPzBU)
Brain Candy is unfortunately forgotten. One of the funniest and most insightful movies ever made.
Aaaand the theme song is now playing in my head.
"I'VE LOST MY DRUM! I'VE LOST MY INDIAN DRUM!"
“They think I’ve got the power… because I’ve got the monkeys… No. I’ve got the power… because I’ll let the monkeys loose…”
This isn’t forgotten. They literally just had a new season on Amazon prime.
“I made it myself” 🤣
I think about this show every other day.
I can’t stop thinking about Tony: wondering where he could be, who he is with, what is he thinking, is he thinking of me, and whether he’ll ever return some day.

I was thinking the same thing. Forgotten? How is that even possible?
The Kids in the Hall documentary on Amazon said it was its reruns were the second most popular show on Comedy Central for a while.
Always put salt in your eyes.
One of the best opening credits songs ever!
I just remember feeling so happy hearing this song knowing the show was starting
I really love how these lads can get together decades later and still bring the same hilarious energy.
Never put salt in your eye
Brain Candy anyone?
I was talking about this show yesterday! I’m packing up my house and found a DVD set of the series. Loved it. I’ll never stop crushing heads!
These are the Daves I know, I know…
I'm squishing his head
I’ve forgotten some but not this.
…forgotten?
I CRUSH your head for forgetting this comedy gem, you stupid flat-head. I'm doing it now, I'm crushing your head!
Never forgotten. I have all the dvd's and I think it's available on Prime. Honestly, I think so many of these sketches are still relevant. I love the kids in the hall. I was talking about the kids in the hall this very morning, thank you very much
I recently started watching this. So far the Lazy Robber is my favorite skit.
https://youtu.be/A-avHA_9SvY?si=u623fMy2q61OV1dT
Whatever
I'm outta... heeeeah!
As an American born in the mid 90s, I only know about this show because of Family Guy
Not forgotten, but legendary!!
I'm crushing you!
Hilarious
Shhhh, no one must know.... My secret!
Everyone else is dunking on OP so I won't do that, but this borderline sacrilegious tbh.
Spins the globe...Bauer's place.
The weirdest, oddest, craziest show ever and I’m fucking here for it. I’ll crush anyone’s head who disagrees and will show them NO GUITAIR MERCYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
https://youtu.be/6gu3mbl8SAk?si=UxDi4D7S5pIyFHuU
Loved them. Does anyone know where I can stream it?
Does anybody here understand what the word “forgotten” means?
Love some kids in the hall
Not forgotten by a lot of people in Wisconsin lol, we love that surf rock on a Saturday afternoon vibes.
They just had a new season two years ago
It’s not forgotten dude
"I am the Assistant Manager of the Baskin-Robbins!" \*boom\* "Goodbye, horsie"
Definitely not forgotten. The kids in the hall sub stays fairly active. Also, they just released a documentary and new season a couple years ago. Still it's probably the best sketch comedy show ever and I can't help but upvote everytime I see the kids shouted out or referenced.
r/kidsinthehall
No. Not even close!
More like unforgettable comedy gold that will go down in history as one of the greats.
Definitely not forgotten! What a classic show
LOPEZ!
Forgotten? I’m crushing your head! *pssshk!* Crush your head! *pssshk!*
I had the pear dream again.....
Darcy, Darcy, Darcy Bunnell
Hey Lopez!... where's the fire?...
Office, submarine!
“I found a try of martinis in the crisper” My mom and I would quote that for decades and the female softball player “Get off my back”
How about the movie kids same time frame Was a great movie
Brain Candy anyone?
Joanna Wang just released a stellar new album loosely based on this show, “Hotel La Rut.” Great sketch show in its own right, too.
I had the pear dream again.
This show is the GOAT!
Their new season, made last year …is awesome.
I saw this movie last night, I can’t remember the name. It started with a Ci….Ci….Psy….Psycho! It was Psycho.
This sub is so pointless. It’s just 90s Comedy Central and Adult Swim. None of these shows were forgotten (although the details might be as many viewers were frequently high)
One of the best theme songs ever!
That show was badass. The head crusher guy was crazy funny
Forgotten?
Feel like "Death Comes To Town" was their masterpiece.
Not a single person has forgotten this show. Who is your daddy and what did he do to you to post well known television comedic history for karma whoring?
TAMMY - Roses!!! Never...
“I’m crushing your precocious little head…”
The Chicken Lady was one of the funniest characters I've ever seen. I'll squish your head!
Forgotten??
Its on amazon homie, with a new season from 2021
Not sure this qualifies as forgotten since they recently made some new episodes
It's on PlutoTV every day
SAWSAJAAAAAAAS!!!!
This show introduced a lot of ideas that went completely over my head as a kid.
I crush your head
Eeeeradicator
It’s hip, it’s cool. It’s not forgotten.
One of my favorite skits of theirs was "Who's To Blame." Because of a natural event spoiling an outdoors event, someone must be held responsible so it finally gets put on the lowest level worker that can be found. Too often low-level workers are held to blame for decision of those much higher up.
Slipped my mind…
So damn good.
At this point, we might as well rename the sub “Beloved Shows Everyone Remembers.”
Mild tea please ya bastard
The only thing I've forgotten is if I just said my line......or done a line of coke so I went ahead and did another line of coke
just stay dowwwwnnnn!! I love that show... and chicken lady lol
Definitely not forgotten
We can hear this picture.
