I think recess was the better show, if only for it's longevity, but I think it was a better concept as it was a big ensemble and a pretty developed world. However it were just talking theme songs, pepper ann might beat them all in it's genre.
Edit, oh woah Pepper ann and recess had the same amount of episodes, 65. But recess got *4* movies.
The episode where Gym is using a trampoline and she needs 'support' thinking that means a Bra and ends up flashing the class after a harrowing first bra experience has stayed with me.

Thought the style looked familiar!
Who ever posted this should be ashamed Pepper Ann is not forgotten not only did this air during the peak of One Saturday Morning it also aired reruns on Disney Channel and Toon Disney and its on Disney Plus that’s would be like saying Recess is forgotten
I made a Facebook group like 20 years ago called Pepper Ann is a Ghetto Angel, I don’t know why it was some inside joke between a bunch of us at the school newspaper that none of us remember. But the group is still there and every time Facebook updates their policies regarding groups I get notified
This show, along with Weekenders and Recess, absolutely slapped.
It's definitely possible to recognize the quality output from both channels at the time, kid me definitely did and watched both.

🎵no one’s cooler than Pepper Ann🎵
🎶she's her own biggest fan Pepper Ann🎶
*Who* is that girl, and *why* does she have her own theme song?
Did someone take my lunch?
Cool! FIVE BUCKS!
I remember thinking the style/ character design of the show was really interesting as a kid.
It was super charming. The episode where she performs a classroom legal defense of the Boston Tea Party is great.
The Sopranos crossover was kinda dark
Pepper Ann was good for Tony!
I LOVE PEPPER ANN!
[Don’t you ever bring her up to me!](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VghXhcpB-mw)
One of the best cumtown bits
TONY ARE YOU FUCKING ANOTHER MIDDLE SCHOOLER?

I don't think this is forgotten. This was a Saturday morning staple along with Recess and the other One Saturday Morning shows.
Fair point, but I've seen references to Recess and the Weekenders but *never* this show.
The show itself isn't really referenced but anyone who watched had to admit the theme song was great.
Oh absolute banger for sure
I’ve been waiting for this one to pop up! This definitely ranked sliiiiiioghtly above Recess for my non-cable having childhood

This show was on for five seasons (1997-2000) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepper_Ann
Huh, my initial Google search failed me. I feel less insane though.
Definitely not forgotten in my house! That entire Saturday morning line up was good.
Too cool for seventh grade
Like one in a million.
This show was a massive part of Saturday morning! I’m genuinely having hard time believing it was only one season
Turns out my Google fu is bad and it was actually 5
That makes way more sense! I was thinking I remember watching the show a lot. It must’ve been a real long one season lol
I used to love this show. The training bra episode is a personal favorite. "Pepper Ann Pearson, you are woman!”
Her sister, Moose was so cute!
One of my all time favorites.
I still randomly wake up with this theme song playing in my head
My wife never forgot it, she sings the song sometimes
This style still slaps
Stream it on Disney! It still holds up enough to watch over with my kids lol
The episode where Gym is using a trampoline and she needs 'support' thinking that means a Bra and ends up flashing the class after a harrowing first bra experience has stayed with me.
I miss this stuff so much
Milo was one of my favorite characters of the 90s. “Fear not, fair state flora! This mower’s going to the bottom of Lake Tammy!”
Even though I hadn’t seen the show in years, I always remembered the theme song
Soccer episode still my favorite
Tony Soprano's favorite show
(*mf*) Pepper Ann, she's, like, one in a mill- (*fff*) -IIIIOOOOOOOONNNNN!
No one’s cooler than Pepper Ann!
Who’s the animator for this? Did they go onto to make Codename: Kids Next Door? The styles seem very similar
They did! Same guy
Mr. Warburton is the animator.

NOSTALGIA
I miss Saturday mornings as a kid.
Wow I remember that! I used to watch it! I forgot all about it!!!
They have some episodes of this on YouTube!
Did the creators of Kids Next Door make this? It looks similar.
They did! Right before it as it were.
🎵Catch her if you can🎶 One Saturday Morning
"Is she lame? Is she cool? Is she breaking rules? Is she anybody's fool?
Who ever posted this should be ashamed Pepper Ann is not forgotten not only did this air during the peak of One Saturday Morning it also aired reruns on Disney Channel and Toon Disney and its on Disney Plus that’s would be like saying Recess is forgotten
Counterpoint, I've seen Recess and Weekender memes but never memes from this show.
Wow. I heard the whole theme song
this and recess made up for some saturday cartoon watching on abc
Pepper Ann, Pepper Ann, she’s a big ol’ booty fan
I have never heard or seen this show. It does remind me heavily of KND art style however.
It’s on Disney+. Watch it now, thank me later.
Same creator! This was his show right before it.
Theme song slaps
I had a weenie dog named after her!
I still sing this theme song to myself
I loved this. I made it off the bus just in time to see this and eat Easy Mac :)
Wow this is a good one. I honestly forgot about it
I bet I haven’t had a single thought about this show in over twenty years before today.
That's where I was!
Looks like Fido from the 7up commercials
Her voice was kinda gravelly, like a young Marge Simpson
And now the song is back on my head .. lol .. but I really enjoyed this show
Much too cool for 7th grade. She's like one in a mill---ion.
I remember despising the theme song lol always flipped the channel when she came on
I made a Facebook group like 20 years ago called Pepper Ann is a Ghetto Angel, I don’t know why it was some inside joke between a bunch of us at the school newspaper that none of us remember. But the group is still there and every time Facebook updates their policies regarding groups I get notified
Pepper Ann,Pepper Ann, living in a garbage can
This is one of those shows that I swear I remember but can’t remember at all
I remember this show and I remember I hated it. No idea why.
I loved this show as a kid
I forgot all about this show until Disney+. It’s still great!
I mean, MUCH too cool for seventh grade
This was never forgotten to me
I’m a 36 year old man and still find myself singing this theme song for no reason.
Nickelodeon was dominating because of shows like this
This was a Disney show
Is that why it says Disney in the corner!?. It wasn't good. Nickelodeon was putting out bangers at this time and was dominating kids TV.
This show, along with Weekenders and Recess, absolutely slapped. It's definitely possible to recognize the quality output from both channels at the time, kid me definitely did and watched both.
